The new stadium will have four games with teams that have large fan followings:

Chicago Bears
Dallas Cowboys
Denver Broncos
Kansas City Chiefs

Ugh....I don't like it.

Agreed. Not exactly a good way to make the new stadium "home" friendly. I hate when the opposing team players are able to rev up the crowd at Cardinals home games; really pisses me off!!

I can see it now, our first home game, SNF/MNF Dallas Cowboys.:thud:

There fans come from all over to give the Cards Stadium a nice homecoming. I really hope we play Detroit the first game. I want to see a sea of red. Hey I would even make a "Fire Millen" sign if they please let it be that way.

It'll be a nightmare if they open up the stadium against the Cowboys.

I'll be pissed.

You know, I've thought about this for a while now. I posted the poll a while back about who you'd prefer for the home opener.

I officially hope it's the Cowboys.

If there's any game for the next 20 years that Cowgirls fans will have a hard time getting a ticket it's that one. I work (in the Air Force) with fans from just about every NFL team. Most of the people I talk to plan on trying to get a ticket to the opener, whoever we're playing. I think for that game alone, after a positive hype from the preseason games, there will be a sellout.

Of course Cowboys fans will be there. But not in the numbers we've seen in the past. And if there's one constant among people who watch football...you either love the Cowboys or you absolutely hate them.

I say bring 'em on. It will be a great moment watching Big Red send them home crying in our new stadium.

 That's the kind of winners attitude we need!

Can anyone imagine a sea of red at a Cowgirls opening of the new stadium. Where there are 55-60 thousand fans there to see the Cardinals of 2006? I must stop smoking that stuff!

It's actually been quite a while since the blue outnumbered the red. Next year, it'll be the heaviest towards red ever for a Cowboys game. Season ticket sales are already close to 2/3rd's capacity.

I'm sort of hoping for the Cowboys, too. I'd like to play an old rival in the new digs.

I'll be there wearing red. I think I'm dragging my brother out this time, too (he's a bears fan, so I hope we don't play them, otherwise he'll add to the # of bears jerseys in the crowd).

AJ - I've recently signed up for season tickets. The guy I spoke with said, 'there's gonna be tons of seats in every section.'

2/3rds capacity is a joke.:koolaid:

Let's all start making plans now to all show up at the new Cowboys Stadium (in Arlington) once the thing's built.

The first time the Cardinals play there, we should show up in droves - all wearing Cardinal Red.

That'll learn 'em.

Bastiches.

Just going off the SDS numbers and numbers published in the paper. There were 30,000 this year, requests for new tickets are already over 5,000. Two-thirds is just 42K.

Sure, there will be open seats in every section after we're done picking ours. Hope I don't take the ones you want!
