Wow, should have got a corner there at the end at least. 1-0 wasn't bad...really wanted that away goal. But with how poor we played I am not devastated.

If they play like they did today....I think it will be 1-1 with Chelsea advancing. If they can shore up the passing, clear the ball better, and get Trezeguet and Giovinco some time on the pitch they can win 1-0 or 2-0. If Chelsea gets that away goal though we are screwed, cause I don't see us winning 3-1.

Liverpool is dominating their match early on (28 minutes 2-0). A healthy Torres is scary for any defense.

If the US could only produce one Fernando Torres...dare to dream I guess

Did Sporting Lisbon even both showing up? Losing 12-1 on aggregate? Somebody should lose their job for that

cool as you like Del Piero.....

:grabs:

Ya that goal gave me false hope. After we gave up the goal at the 45th I knew it was over cause I just didn't think we had a 3-1 in us. Then we lose Chiellini and I know its over....but then that damn PK made me feel like we were gonna pull of some miracle. But not having your best CB really leaves that back middle open and what do you know DD breaks through and puts one in the back.

They definitely out played us at both sites and we did not deserve to go through. Would have loved to see it though, but hopefully this will get Juve to throw around some money in the Summer Mercato and find a young replacement for Nedved, a CM who can create anything, and finally a solid LB.

Now I just gotta figure out who to pull for the rest of the way in Champions League. Any votes?

I disagree, I thought in the first half, Juve was clearly a much better team--and probably the best either team had played to that point. Unfortunately, they couldn't put the ball in the back of the net, but in that first half, Juve definitely had the upper hand.

Draws came out today for the next round:

Manchester United vs. Porto FC

Chelsea vs. Liverpool (CRAZY)

Arsenal vs. Villareal

Barcelona vs. Bayern Munich (like the Super Bowl here)

Love the draw although I don't like Manchester United pulling the weakest team.

Klose is out for 6-8 Weeks so Bayern isn't at full strength, but they will give Barca a hard challenge anyway.

Klose's tough, but if Ribery is playing, I'd be more worried about him anyway.

I think Barca/Bayern has the makings of the best games of the league (along with Chelsea/Liverpool). It'll be hard to root against Bayern, but I love watching Barca play football.

Man Utd hardly ever get the luck of the draw... Now if you want to talk about who gets the best draws than it would have to be Chelsea.. I remember them going to like two straight FA Cups without playing a single prem team...

I don't watch a lot of Bundesliga, but Bayern just got embarrassed by Wolfsburg. If they can't handle Wolfsburg, Bayern's defense is going to get taken apart by Barca.
