Things aren't looking so good tonight as they're already down 3-0 against the Kings, but the Coyotes have really played well ever since getting destroyed by Chicago a few weeks ago. Gotta keep up the pressure though, making the playoffs would be absolutely huge for the franchise right now.

I was there too. Went from a Coyotes blowout to a nail biter at the end, bu the Coyotes win and move into 6th place.

It did get a little scary at the end but they got the two points. Hopefully they can keep it going before the All-Star break.

With the big Cardinal victory, I noticed the Coyotes beat Dallas in overtime.:) The Coyotes are now tied for 6th in the playoff standings. Big roadtrip coming up.

Yeah, the shootout started right when the Cardinal game ended. I bet tv ratings were really low last night.

Turris's goal in the shootout was filthy. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come.

The Vancouver win puts the Coyotes into a three way tie for 5th place in the conference, with a game in hand against the Ducks and Canucks. We can only hope that the Coyotes don't fizzle late in the season which was the case last year. Joakim Lindstrom has been a nice little steal for the Coyotes so far. He added another two goals against Luongo to give him 7 goals for the season in 17 games. Between Lindstrom, Ken Klee, and of course Bryzgalov, the waiver wire has really benefitted the Coyotes well in the last two seasons. Not the usual way to add to a team, but Maloney and the rest of the staff have done a nice job locating extra sources of talent for the Coyotes. Unfortunately, the team is really going to need more production from Olli Jokinen if we're going to be watching playoff hockey. At 15 goals and 15 assists, he's only on pace for 58 points this season. That's real low considering he's scored 71, 91, and 89 points in his last three seasons.

Great win on the road at Calgary last night. The Coyotes won 4-3 on Boedker's breakaway goal late in the third period. The game was being televised on the NHL Network and they interviewed Doan after the game and you can see he is excited about this team and where they are headed. Let's hope they can continue this play in the second half.

I had a 2001 flashback seeing Claude Lemieux on Sports Center. Why can't some guys just walk away? He broke into the NHL when I was in 3rd grade

More importantly, nice win against the Red Wings to take sole possession of 5th place. It's also nice to know that the Coyotes do not have any more games against the Blackhawks or Wild this season.

They have a lot of games left against the Blues, Sharks, and Ducks. The schedule this season does not seem to be very even in terms of when the Coyotes play each team.

it definitely seems like it's starting and ending heavy in the division with months inbetween where you don't see each other

very nice win last night and a good way to go into the break - i have tix for the game against the ducks and it should be a great time

would love to see them grab that 4 seed - although catching the blackhawks would be pretty tough

bad loss last night to the ducks

was a pretty entertaining game, but that goal with 1 second left in the 2nd pretty much deflated them - they had trouble keeping up the intensity all game and establishing the zone against the duck defenders

with road games against SJ and Detroit around the corner this could be a tough week

disapointing loss for sure

Yotes played great in the 1st period vs Buffalo. Not sure what happened after that, looked like a different team on the ice for the remainded of the game. Yotes have got to pick it up if they wanna keep their playoff spot. Should be an exciting final 2 months of the season.

Coyotes lose again to Detroit but they lost thanks to a BS call with less than a minute to go in the game.

Coyotes deserved better tonight. It was good to see some life out of the team again, hopefully it carries over to saturday night against Carolina. Hopefully Perrault gets to stay up with the Yotes for awhile, he brings alot of energy to the ice.

I was so mad when that penalty was called. The Yotes arent doing good because they have roughly 5 injured starters, Bryzgalov has started 11 straight times (Even if he has been great, its still a lot) and they dont have much chemistry because everyones being recalled or reassigned.

Well, at least they're one step closer to Tavares or Hedman I guess...
