I know that a few of you guys put this year's picks in the other thread. This draft (and every draft) deserves another one.

Star Players

Chris Long
Jake Long

Bust Players

Brian Brohm
Malcolm Kelly

Because I have no way of knowing who "will be" Stars or busts, I'll say:

Star Players

Brian Brohm
Malcolm Kelly

Bust Players

Chris Long
Jake Long

Based on popularity I think some of these may be surprising. Tried to make this harder on myself and try not to pick the usual suspects that others would put out there.

Busts - Gholston and McKlevin
Stars - Mendenhall and Dorsey

In another thread i had my 2 busts as Talib and Brohm. I'll stick with them. My 2 stars are Gholston and Mendenhall.

Two off the radar guys for the offense that i think will be stars are Earl Bennett and Will Franklin. They are WR's so their impact may be limited this year but,in a couple years i think they will be impact players. Two off the radar guys on defense are Tracy Porter and Erin Henderson.

If I would have made it 3 players, my 3rd bust would have been McKelvin. He has more of a future at KR than CB, IMO.

I only rate players I've seen a fair number of times. That leaves out most of the consensus top 32.

Stars: DE/DT Trevor Laws
QB Matt Ryan -- Scoffed at him at first. Grew to appreciate he was
working with a bunch of slow nobodys at WR and
pulled off miracles. The picks came because he always
had to throw into tight windows to win. Huge upside.

Busts: QB Brian Brohm -- Can't read and react, rarely completes a pass more
than 12 yds beyond the line.
MB Keith Rivers -- Very average every USC game I saw.

Forgot about Kevin Smith. Very few of his games were televised and I didn't discover all the cool channels in my sports package until too late.

Only saw two of his games and in one (don't remember the opponent), he lost and was contained well but I came away a believer.

Why? Because he turned sure 1 yd losses into 2 yd gains and no gainers into 3 yd pickups. I already knew he could gain big yards when the holes were there.

I'd love to have Kevin Smith here.

As far as Keith Rivers is concerned, even Harry is entitled to a botched evaluation every now and then.

See? A Cardinal's fan DEFINITELY knows how to tell a quality RB!!! :D

All kidding aside, that really is serious. If a back can steadily gain even small bits of yardage when he should be stacked up for losses, it shows how tough of a runner he is. If we don't nab a RB in the first, I'd be interested in Smith farther down the line. I mean, we need him for the name alone...it would ROCK to have 'Kevin Smith' on our team ;)
