I just looked at a very early 2009 draft projection. The #16 pick next year is projected to be Beanie Wells from OSU. I'm starting the "DRAFT BEANIE" campaign now. He's the best RB i have seen at OSU. He's better than Eddie George, Robert Smith, Maurice Clarett,Archie Griffin, any of them. The guy he reminds me most of is Earl Campbell who,by the way, is my favorite RB of all time. Earl was a little more powerful but Beanie is a little faster. Either way, they are both absolute beasts.

Also, you may want to watch the USC/OSU game in week 3 next year. There are 8 guys, right now, that are projected 1st round picks in that game.

Wells is a bonafide stud who I expect to be long gone by 16. Then again, I expect us to be drafting around 20-25 next year. I would love to get a beast like that in red.

I hope the Cards trade down in the 2010 draft. Or they could trade up. I hear they may go BPA though.

Reminder, at this point last year, Brian Brohm was the first pick in the draft.

No one will want to buy it, and of course I am a homer, but there is no better player in College FB than Pat White. I am starting the "Draft Pat White under any circumstances" Thread soon!

USC LB Rey Mauluga (SP?) is at the top of my list, with 360 something days until the draft.

/Growl (Tim the toolman Taylor growl!)

Count me on his bandwagon, I'll be watching Laurenitus and Tyson Jackson DE LSU as well, STUDS! B. Wells just screams old school Pittsburgh back don't he... He'd look great in Cardinal red next year.

I am on the Rey Maualuga, Brian Cushing, Brandon Spikes bandwagon right now. (If Dansby isnt re-signed)

If he is re-signed then I am firmly on the Max Unger or Phil Loadholt bandwagon.

Who says bandwagons cant start this early.

Sorry ASU fans, I hope the Cards can stay away from drafting Rudy Carpenter.

I love the kid too. He has a lot of off field issues to overcome but he's an absolute beast on the field.

He has a long juvenile criminal history plus several run ins with the law since he got to USC but he's as close to the perfect LB as there is on the field.

There is no way Beanie lasts that long..

He'll be Top 10 pick no doubt..

Id be thrilled if we drafted him somehow..

However, he has been pretty adamant that he's not leaving early cause he wants to put his name in the OSU record books

Maybe next year we will be in position and it would actually make sense to move up in the draft. I could see that situation occurring if we are in dire need of a RB and do not have as many holes as in years past.

Considering that Running Backs always fall, Beanie should be there when we make our selection, the last in the first round.

Beanie is gone.It just wishful OSU thinking to believe otherwise. His mom even let it slip that was his last year.
