Yeah, because it NEVER happens in the Premiership, Serie A or anythe other top leagues . . . . .

Way to take what I said out of context. Watch a Serie A, La Liga or Premiership game sometime. I'm definitely of the opinion that flopping is out of control in ALL leagues, but come on now--yesterday's United/Galaxy game was taking it to the extreme.

OK, i'll try to make the time to watch a Prem game sometime soon. There just isn't the coverage in the UK . . . . .

Being that you are in the UK do you think MLS is on par with the Coca Cola Championship or League 1? Thats about the level they need to strive for as they will never have the money to compete for EPL, Serie A players.

I would say it isn't far off Championship level. There are some tasty Champ teams, but the mid level teams are fairly similar. I think MLS, with continued growth, could be top level Championship in 5-10 years. Doesn't sound great but it would mean it was a solid league.

I've been watching a lot of League One football over the last two years and most MLS teams would do very well in that division.

Chaplin, I do know what your point was. I was only havin a laugh.

Just got back from the LA game. Fun as hell. Front row on the South end, saw Donovan's goals perectly, gave fist bumps to Cobi Jones, Bruce Arena, and Alan Gordon. Angel City Brigade and LARS were going off. Great trip. Already have my tickets for May 2nd and I can't wait to go back. Here is a picture of when the two DC players cracked skulls from my crappy camera phone. Nice comeback...crappy officiating all over the place.
Bruce Arena? He sucks.

Best American coach ever(mens side). 2 MLS titles, 5 NCAA titles and took the US team to the Qtr Finals in WC 2002...but he could only take them so far and he had some blatant favoritism in his squads. He is an excellent coach by American standards though.

Fredy Montero is fricking awesome and Seattle is fun to watch. They'll be a playoff team in their first year of existence.

watched a couple of Rapid games so far... even got management to hook me up with some press passes and goodies so that should be fun..

Colorado is for a sure a playoff team this season... Two horrid giveaways vs Chivas, but bounced back v KC...

Why dont the Rapids draw? People in Denver go ape Sh## over indoor lax but not MLS?

Bro that is a great question and I wish I knew.. The facilities are beautiful (they are a bit out of the way though from Denver), the team has been playing well... the only thing i can really think of is that people in colorado are sick of stan kroenke and him buying further and further into Arsenal and not doing crap about the rapids...

hopefully a better team will change that... they did draw 15k for the US v Brazil womens match... us v guatamala was weak (it was Nov and cold though), Colo v Everton was embarrassing...

Going to my first MLS game tomorrow.

Snagged 9th row center pitch seats at RFK tomorrow night.

The United vs. the Revolution on ESPN 2!

I will be rocking my Boldin jersey since I have no Soccer swag.

Have fun at RFK, they have great fans there. The supporters section is always rocking, always standing, mostly hopping, flags waving, singing, smoke bombs and thrown beer(the thrown beer I don't get they cost so damned much).

I'm thinking of flying in to DC for the United firendly against Real Madrid on August 8 (its not confirmed yet though) at FedEx field and then staying for the D-Backs/Nationals day game on the 9th.

Dude... Those fans were nuts!!! It was a furious finish also, which helped in the drama department. Kinda makes me want to head down to Cape Town next year. If 10,000 fans can do that, how about 60 to 70,000 in a packed stadium.

I might have to get my friend to go with me to that Friendly.

DC should've won that, they outplayed the Revs for most of the match. Eventualy all these draws they've had will come back to haunt them. They are doing it without a 100% Gomez and a couple of rookies learning on the job (Pontius & Wallace) so it should get better with time--or at least I hope.

If you thought the DC United fans were nuts try going to a US National team game and sitting in the supporters section with Sams Army & The American Outlaws...its an absolute blast.

Galaxy lead 1-0 just before half in the MLS Cup, pretty good match so far.

Great game coming down to penalty kicks. But the Galaxy had the game, too bad some of their players were inept in the midfield. In the 2nd half, Real Salt Lake had sometimes a good 20 yards open around them... in the Galaxy's half of the field!

Mike Magee scored the goal, but he gave away several passes. I can't help but think that Kovalenko would have made a difference in the game instead of Chris Birchall and the nonexistant Jovan Kirovski.

Kirovski sucked. He just plain sucks period. The injuries and the inability to sub hurt the team badly. Great atmosphere. Great season. Too bad it ended the way it did. That was the first MLS Cup I have ever attended and it was great. Seattle is doing it right.

I have been a soccer fan since I was a kid living in New Jersey and attending Cosmos games. Ricky Davis lived a couple of blocks away from me and he was so nice to everyone.

I really enjoy watching soccer and last night's game was exciting. The only beef I have and have always had since my days as a Cosmos fan is playing soccer on artificial turf. I know it's impossible to have all the teams play on real grass and the new field turf is much better than the old artificial turf, but I think it takes away some of the game.

It's too bad Arizona won't get a MLS team because I think if they had a competitive team, people would come out and watch.

I am still shocked Donovan missed his PK, he is pretty much automatic and that was a bad miss too, sort of like Baggio in '94.

When he missed it, I knew then and there that the Galaxy weren't going to win. It was a sign by the soccer gods.
