RSL beats Saprissa 2-0 at home

Monterey-Cruz Azul play next, that should be a good one

Monterrey & RSL in the final, 2-2 in Monterrey for the first leg so RSL goes home with a big advantage.

Monterrey is limping big time. It wouldn't surprise me if they lose in SLC.

Today is the big day, 2nd leg of the CCL final in Salt Lake City. I want Monterrey to win bc I feel they can advance further in the tournament, but it would also be pretty cool to finally get an MLS team competing so the concacaf is taken a bit more seriously.

RSL hasn't lost at home in like 30 matches but is without Beckerman. They can win the tourney with a 1-1 draw so I wonder if they will bunker and counter all game...looking at Jason Kreis' style I would guess no, he will likely play it straight up.

Calling that a Champions League is embarrassing, both teams were dreadful.

Well it wasn't meant to be for RSL...It was hard cheering for them, can't stand that team just wanted success for MLS.

lol yeah. The Monterrey coach was saying he cared more about making the playoffs in the Mexican league than winning the CONCACAF CL...I would imagine because getting a ticket to get embarrassed by a Euro/Brazilian team in the WC of clubs isn't exactly very fun.

RSL didnt win, but im glad an MLS team made it thus far. Hopefully some good rivalries start building to draw in more fans. The tournament should have a lot more prestige than it currently does.

Fans are showing up to the games, teams are playing better (the ones who choose to take it seriously and not send their reserve squads, anyway) and the tournament is picking up steam.
