DA's play will keep Max on the bench (injury another story).

Cards win the NFC West.

SF is 9-7 at best, likey 8-8 or under.

Cards are 3-2 at the bye.

DWashington is top two in DROY

Dockett has a career year (in one category or another).

Swilliams is 3rd on the team in rec. yardage, barely behind breaston.

1. Doucet gets hurt and Max Komar goes off in at least one game this year.

2. Anderson shuts everyone up, except a few who will harp on every INT he throws. We hit several very deep plays.

3. Washington wins DROY

4. Williams has our run defense in the top 12.

5. Dockett is a monster, Calais is a beast

6. Porter makes the prowbowl.

7. we go 10-6, niners go 6-10

Anderson completes around 55% throws an equal amount of TDs & INTs, he tears up some teams (like the Rams this weekend) but totally goes "Bad Kurt" in others (think Carolina last year or New England the year before).

Max Hall starts 2-3 games this year.

Our secondary is the most improved part of the team statistically from last year.

Jim Dray is the starting TE by week 12.

We still win the NFC West because the 49ers have Singletary as a coach, the Seahawks stink and the Rams are a couple of years from being good, not because we are necessarily a great team.

It's as pessimistic as I can be. 14-2 (Atlanta and Minnesota). Cards win the Super Bowl, of course. DA turns out to be a hot quarterback when paired with the Whis, and Timmy, fearing for his job, turns into a hot commodity and frustrating Wells in the very year he was supposed to take over. The defense remembers how they played during the regular season last year, and even carries that play into the postseason. The Super Bowl win will be against ... wait for it ... San Diego.

Put yours up and lets see who's closer :)

Okay, you asked for it.

1. Beanie Wells will not gain as many yards as he did last year (gut feeling)

2. Derek Anderson will have over 30 touchdowns

3. Calais Campbell will lead the team in sacks (I concur)

4. DRC will have more interceptions than Toler

5. Daryl Washington will have more than 110 tackles and lead the team in that category. (I concur)

6. We finish 12-4 for the regular season

7. Ben Graham will break his single-season franchise record for most punts (37) downed inside the opponents 20-yard line.

Superbowl!

Jefferson is a freakishly good nickelback and seals the Superbowl win for us.

6-10... Max Hall starts the last two games of the season and people realize why he wasn't annointed starter sooner.

Washington is top 3 for DROY.

I don't post often but always enjoy a good read and appreciate those that do post well thought and written observations and predictions--so here goes:

1.) DA has a much better year than most predict: 27 TDs and under 15 Ints and is solid all year (no Max except in garbage time).

2.) Beanie goes off and has several games near or over 150 yards and rushes for 1250 yards. Hightower is solid and gets 40% of the carries.

3.) The D shuts steps up and has a strong pass rush and finish in the top-10 overall for yards allowed (I agree Washington will be huge-Top 3 DROY)

4.) Cardinals finish 10-6 but very easily could have been 12-4. Easily win the division as SF is overrated.

5.) We lose the NFC Championship game (likely GB but could be Minn or Dallas).

I hope I'm right...I just have a very good feeling about this year. Can't wait!!

10 and 6..win the division.

Derek Anderson starts all 16 games, throws between 28-32 touchdowns with 16 INT's

Calais has 12 sacks.

I'm pretty confident and I don't know why..kind of depressing to read this board with the high I'm on for this team

Edit: Oh and we lose Wildcard game.

1) The Oline struggles for the first 6 games, Cards start 2-4

2) DA throws 20 Tds, 15 Ints

3) Hall starts 1st NFL game (due to DA injury) at home vs Sea, a 27-14 victory in which he throws 2TD passes

4) Calais emerges as Redbirds best pass rusher

5) Daryl Washington makes 100+ tackles

6) Wells gets first start of the season in KC & promptly rushes for 185 yards

7) Levi is switched back to RT

8) secondary is torched against Chargers, Saints, Vikes & Boys due to lack of CB depth past DRC & Toler

9) Niners sweep Big Red, win West at 9-7

10) Redbirds lose last 3 games & finish 7-9

Mmmm... the dark side is strong with this one.

Terrible season, no hope for the future, outside the range of Locker, Mallett, or Luck. Maybe we can reach in the draft and get OT Gabe Carmini. He should call Grimm right now to set up his pro day workout.

I'm amazed at how many people think DA, in his first season with the team, is going to be as good as Warner and tie the franchise record for TD passes in a single season.

But this is the week to dream I guess.

I'm surprised that people think that DA will have a superior season to what Matt Schaub had last year (29 TDs, 15 INTs). Only 4 QBs threw 30 or more TDs last year. 3500 yards would have put DA right in the middle of the NFL last year (18th) between Donnie McNabb and Carson Palmer.

1. Max Hall plays in specific packages early, starts by week 10
2. Hyphen gains 500+ yards rushing/receiving
3. Rex Hadnot replaces Alan Faneca
4. Clark Haggans outplays Joey Porter
5. Feely hits two game winners
6. Rhodes and AW combine for 8+ sacks
7. Andre Roberts becomes a threat out of the Wildcat
8. Gerald Hayes doesn't start a game
9. Ben Graham makes the Pro Bowl
10. 8-8 record. Miss the playoffs but provide plenty of hope for next year.

Don't most fans over-evaluate their teams players & understimate the oppositions players? Fantasy vs reality generally hits in about 5 games

7-9

DA has a very mediocre to bad year but not disastrous, QB rating in the mid-70's or so.

Offensive line struggles as Grimm changes lineups to find a fix.

Defense starts better than 2009 but in-fighting with guys like Joey Porter cause it to sprout leaks towards the end of the season.

Fitz goes to the Pro Bowl along with two defensive starters (two of DD, Calais, AW, DRC).

Beanie has a sophomore slump but Hightower continues to improve and LSH makes a small impact on 3rd downs which helps yet is still not enough to counter Beanie's struggles.

Cards find their next defensive player in Daryl Washington which completes a foundation for a potentially terrific defense down the road.

K9 puts words in my mouth and makes posts suggesting I think the 2010 Cardinals will be world-beaters.

My predictions:

1. DA plays like DA, throws for 25 TD's/20 Int's but never gets benched because A) he's able to throw jump balls to Fitz and Breaston, with Fitz putting up better #'s than last year and B) our D tears up the division/league, ranking in the top 10 overall.

2. We finish the season 12-4, while sweeping our divisional opponents.

3. DA somehow takes his game to another level in the playoffs, surprising fans and media alike, ensuring another SB.

4. Coach Whis wins coach of the year.

Love this stuff! Hoping it's true as it sounds plausible as any other picks! Any SB is a wonderful SB! Go Cardinals!
