Miranda was 4-45 going into the inning and then gets a big RBI in the 6th almost immediately after these posts, I swear ASFN has magical powers for Dbacks hitters.

Great win today.

I really like the way the bull pen picked up the starter today. Down 6-1, the pen gave up NOTHING the rest of the way-----no walks, no runs-----5 pitchers, 5 innings. Great relief performance.

On the other hand, the offense picked up as the game went on. Even Miranda had a good offensive performance. Everyone seems to have contributed to the 8-6 comeback win. Good stuff. Better yet, Giants lose to Padres,-----Yea !!!!!

He's likely only here because Putz went on the DL. Once Putz comes back, there really isn't any reason to have him on the roster

Uhh, the only thing Hernandez did wrong was walk Pujols. He had to basically get four outs that inning. I would really hope Gibson keeps Hernandez as the closer when Putz comes back.

It really seems like he has better stuff than Putz.

I feel more comfortable watching Hernandez pitching than Putz when it comes to closing games. It seems like he has more of a presence and he has some good movement on his 97 mph fastball.

Hernandez came in with a one-run lead and Pujols, Halladay and Berkman due up.

He walked Pujols and Drew could have converted a double play to end the game had he not booted the ball.

It's a pleasure to see. Some would argue that it doesn't matter which is the 8th inning setup and which is the 9th inning closer.

But it does, on the road. If the setup man blows it, we still have an at-bat. If the closer blows it, that's all she wrote. At home, of course, we still have an at-bat.
