This guy can catch. Way better than Max Komar or whoever else is on the bottom rung.

These kids are screwed this year with the lockout, if it doesn't get settled soon there will likely be no rookie camp for them to make an impression.

I think Herzlich is going to get a call from just about every team in the league. Too good of a story to pass up and was highly regarded talent wise before the cancer.

I would have been happy to have drafted Maehl in the 6th or 7th. We HAVE TO get him as a UDFA. I think he'd be this year's Stefan Logan or Marc Mariani....

If the lockout extends into June or later, expect very little from UDFAs. They'll be in a bad situation. They'll be 1 training camp behind what players normally go through. They'll have a very short time to go through the play-book. AND they will have to compete with vet FAs on the market for being signed. If the lockout lasts in to pre-season, they won't even get signed because why sign UDFAs during roster cut-downs?

Two players I would like to see signed as URFAs that are not on the list are:

Craig Marshall, 6' 4", 260, 4.77/40 from South Flordia, extremely quick off the edge. Had an injury problem early in the season but sure looked good in the last few games. He's a pass rush specialist only so that is why Kiper had him rated 38th DE.

Christian Anthony, 6' 4", 260, 4.8/40 from Grambling, full time DE/OLB, Had high ratings last year but decided to stay in school, got hurt but finished the season playing well. Should come in for a look-see.

Another player no one has noted is Zack Hurd, UCONN 6" 7" 318 OG/OT. 3 year starter and can play both guard positions and ORT. Very good technically and can pull with the best of this years linemen. Can not uderstand he was not drafted.

Could be a blessing in disguise for these kids as the UFL will finally grab up some young talent.

Agreed, these kids are screwed if this thing lasts more then a month more. Missing out OTA's and workout programs means these kids have pretty much zero shot at making a roster. But with that in mind I really like 10 more guys to bring in if and when it happens.

DT - Ian Williams - Notre Dame
WR - Ricardo Lokette - Fort Valley State
TE - Weslye Saunders - South Carolina
OL - Derek Hall - Stanford
OL - Zach Hurd - Connecticut
OC - Alex Linnenkohl - Oregon State
DE - Brandon Bair - Oregon
ILB - Mario Harvey - Marshall
ILB - Josh Bynes - Auburn
ILB - Nick Bellore - Central Michigan

Coughlin from Boise St should be able to get Hall off the roster.

Terrence Tolliver WR because I'm an LSU homer

I will give you 9 UDFAs that would be great additions for this team.

Jeff Maehl, WR, Oregon
-I have been championing this cause for months now. Maehl is at worst exactly what you want in a 4th or 5th WR. He has great hands, is intelligent, knows where he needs to be, and can make plays. I think that he is more Ricky Proehl, but could develop into a Wes Welker type.

Ricardo Lockette, WR, Fort Valley State
-Lockette has one thing that our WR corp lacks and that is speed to burn. He gives a legit burner in the slot, and provides more depth in the return game. I am not sure that he will put it all together, but it is worth a risk for what he might bring to our team.

Alex Linnenkohl, OL, Oregon St
-Not a great athlete or build but can hold at point of attack. Can long snap, and seems like he has a toughness that could make him stick in this league. With our age across the o line, he is worth a practice squad spot.

Brandon Bair, DL, Oregon
-Prototype 3-4 DE that will still be on a roster in three years. He can anchor, and has a good motor which is great for sub 3-4 DE's to have. He is what Kenny Iwebema should have been.

Ryan Winterswyk, DL, Boise State
-Same as Bair, but not as talented.

Ian Williams, DL, Notre Dame
-A plugger that probably would make the roster and save us some free agent dollars at NT trying to find someone to spell Dan Williams. Doesn't have great versatility across the line, but can two gap in the middle which is what the Cardinals really need depth at.

Mark Herzlich, LB, Boston College
-He beat Cancer, nothing in the NFL can stop him unless he just isn't given a chance. Our team needs his leadership, fire and determination.

Mario Harvey, LB, Marshall
-Would bring much needed attitude in the middle of our defense. I see London Fletcher every time I watch this kid, and I think that he would stick on special teams at the very least.

Kendric Burney, DB, North Carolina
-A total nickel back selection, but he seems to make plays which is something that many nickel corners can't do. He may be too small and slow, but something in me sees him faster on the field than what he has timed. I think that he could be worth a shot and become a solid 4th or 5th corner.

If I could choose 6, it would be
Jeff Maehl-WR
Ricardo Lockette-WR
Ian Williams-NT
Brandon Bair-DE
Mario Harvey-ILB
Mark Herzlich-LB

I really wanted to add Linnenkohl, but couldn't put him above the others. I would have liked to add more OL, but I am not up on many that are on the UDFA list.
