Truly a koolaid post and I endorse it fully.

Mitch also had a post that showed some other potential break out players that are very young.

So yes we need a RT and at least some young developing depth, especially at SILB.

I would also add Carter to your list, hopefully he doesn't experience a sophmore slump.

What really gets the Kool Aid flowing for me is that our backup players are guys who would have been starters for the Cards for Bugel or McGinnis. Our linebackers no longer look like safeties running in mud and our safeties instead of looking like other teams corners look like linebackers.

IF we can just get some decent QB play we'll be making some noise this fall.

Dang, a Cardinal team with a high quality Defense? I never thought I'd live long enough.

Reading your post fires me up. Are we really that good? I hope so.

LOL. I didn't know you were a Houston Cougers fan. This time next year Kolb will be lucky to have a job in the NFL while Double Duece will have recently played in Hawaii.

I totally buy into the koolaid. It's quite funny to me though that for Brown/Colledge/Sendlein the best comment you (or anyone for that matter) could possibly come up with is, "Well, they'll benefit from having another year together." LOL! :D That's serious koolaid.

I'm really torn on the Skelton V Kolb debate here, or in general. I really believe Whis is going to give Kolb a long rope this year. We're paying him good money and they're going to want to know what he can (or can't) do. Only way to find out is play him and even if he sucks they're going to want to see how he reacts to bad games (assuming he doesn't get hurt again, of course). My gut feeling is Skelton will see limited time.

That being said, I still believe in Skelton a lot more than most. His pocket presence is off the charts, but he's gotta--sounds simple-stupid--complete more passes. Even Kolb has a better completion percentage. If Skelton somehow see's some time this year and shows more improvement, especially dramatic improvement, I'm going to be screaming for him to start the following year. Honestly, I don't see how anyone could argue with that if he shows more improvement. It's not every QB that improves from one year to the next and Skelton has (granted, he's got further to climb than a lot of guys). Skelton could be our dream scenario: A franchise QB who was groomed in house from draft day.

Love me some Cardinal Koolaid, a little too early in the morning to partake in some right now:beer:

Kolb will show some improvement when he has more than a long weekend to learn our system; the question is how much?

Personally I'm much more worried about his ability to stay healthy than anything else.

Skelton's potential is exciting but he's got to show drastic improvement this year, looking forward to seeing him in preseason.

QBs are going to benefit from the extra preseason game.

Defense - Finally, finally, finally

I'm not sold on Skelton. This defense could carry this team all the way into the playoffs though. Tons of veteran leadership.
