Anyone watching. I was real I'm impressed with Joeckel. He gets a real good push and holds his ground well. Matthews looks good too. Even though he's got a couple years until he's a pro Manziel reminds me of Tebow.

I'm liking Mathews just as much or better than Lewan right now. Solid feet and is physical. Wow they didn't even sniff Manziel that whole game pretty much.

As someone who has watched almost every Aggie game in the last 5 seasons...

Joeckel is the slam dunk franchise type LT of the two lineman. Matthews is more of a mauler in the run game than Joeckel, but Joeckel has more skill to handle speed off the edge which is more important in the NFL. Both have a LOT of college experience, having started since they were true freshmen. Joeckel is a top 5 talent, Matthews can go in rd 1 for a team that needs a RT, he will be a good pick.

As for Moore, yes he is GOOD, real good. But he is NOT a Von Miller and will not be a gamechanger on his own. But, with the right pieces around him and the right scheme, he should be a productive NFL player.


Manziel..... I really don't know what to say about him at this point. He just seems to good to be true, but he had games like this all year, and got better over time passing.

I read somewhere that Matthews is going back for his SR season at TAMU. ARZ needs Joeckel to declare so ARZ can still get a good LT in Lewan at #7 because Joeckel will be gone by then.

Right now I think #7 should come down to either Jarvis Jones is he's there,if not Taylor Lewan.

One thing I noticed about Moore is how well he holds the edge, he's solid in the run game. His pass rush skills seem good not great but he is a presence

Both tackles are very good. Could play either side in the NFL.

I LOVE Johnny Football as a college QB, but just like Tebow, not so much in the NFL (although he might be able to improve). I hate his throwing mechanics, so much back foot action, so much turning when throwing. But man, he might go down as the greatest college QB of all time if he keeps this up. I love him and his attitude, too. How can you not?

But man, give me one of those two tackles.

I can't wait to see Matthews play some LT at he combine if be decides to come out, he looks impressive. If he comes out there will be a minimum of 4 OT's that will be solid day 1 starters in Joeckle, Matthews, Lewan and Fisher... Trade back?

No, take. IMO of course. No reason to trade back...take the best on your board there. Unless it's a WR.

Hope we take Warmack over Lewan if it's OL at #7. Solidify the interior line and have Potter/Levi battle for LT. Ideally we could trade back and take Warmack.

I'm not buying the joeckle to Philly as a sure thing they have too much invested in Jason peters who when healthy is one of the top 3 LTs in the NFL

After watching the horrific Cardinals QBs this season,,,, Manziel and Jones both impressed me,,they knew when to throw away the ball instead of taking a huge sack loss.

Please no Lewan...it would be a reach in the Levi Brown mold. Lewan is a waist bender and ducks his head...that will not translate in the NFL.

Manziel is 20 and is listed at 6'1" already. Not saying he is that tall, but until there is some sort official measurement we will just have to believe it. As far as mechanics go I think he can certainly improve in that area, but I am pretty impressed with his accuracy non the less as he has completed 68% of his passes this year and that is more impressive when you consider he doesn't just dink and dunk. I don't really understand the Tebow comparison. I mean yeah they are both good running QBs, but Manziel has way more accuracy and overall throwing potential.

Edit: Tebow was never as good of a runner as Manziel. Best season for Tebow 217 carries 910 yards, Manziel this year 201 carries 1410 yards.

The thing that makes me believe he will be successful in the NFL is his quick-twtich reaction ability.

Did you see last night how quickly he turns from first option to second and third options---unreal how quick he is---and he's quick-decisive---

How about the red zone play in the first half where he got twisted around in the pocket and almost without looking threw a perfect pass to his WR in the end zone on a crossing route---only the ball boinked off the WR's hands and a Sooners' DB intecepted it. It was an unreal play---achieved under immense pressure and yet Manziel had full awareness and the quick reaction to pull it off.

He seemed to see the field a split-second early and then react to it even earlier.
