Jaguars head into free agency with some momentum: reached agreement with former Seahawks DT Red Bryant on a 4-yr deal.

First one is in.

They need a whole new offensive line. Martin, Icognito, gone, they lost Long last year and Pouncey is good but an ass

I wonder how many linemen would want to go to that dysfunctional franchise though.

A lot of teams called a lot of agents about a lot of players today. Some will sign them. Most won't. Enjoy your evening.

Thats a good signing for them

Red Bryant, and S.Marks are going to be their DT's.....damn right it is a good signing for them.

Those are too big, athletic defensive tackles. It will be very hard to stop those two. Plus S.Marks just signed an extension so they have both of them for at least 4 years.

I love that on ESPNs Free-Agent Tracker Bill Polian ranks Antoine Bethea as the #2 overall free agent above Jimmy Graham, Greg Hardy, Alex Mack, etc. He also has Donald Brown as the #12 overall free agent over Albert, Veldheer, Orakpo, Byrd, etc. Think he has a slight Colts bias?

Like the Bryant signing for the Jags.

When you have no talent on your roster, it's not hard to be under the cap.

The first few pre-FA contracts may be an indication of a return to ridiculous contracts.

Sam Sheilds gets close to $10M a year?

Now today, Everson Griffen gets a 5 year $42.9M contract from the Vikings....Everson Griffen gets over $8M a year? He's good...but...$8M a year good?

The Vikings also, btw, just re-signed Jasper Brinkley to a one year deal.

Both of those contracts, moreso Griffen, make no sense to me. He's been an average, at best, player throughout his career.

Seahawks fighting to keep Bennett from going to the Bears. Playing time might be a factor instead of money (essentially offering the same amount).

FA CB Alterraun Verner says high pay = respect. So while the money is nice, being paid near the top of the team is more about showing the respect the team has for him.

Niners let S Donte Whitner hit the market. Bears and Browns are interested, but the Niners are interested in bringing him back too.

Jonathon Cyprien is going to be a stud there too. They need to add Mack

in the draft to go with him. Gus is going to try and copy Carroll and build

an awesome D
