In spite of all other posts previously shared and to add my own comments I have already made, I want to express how magical this season has been to me.

This has been my favorite season EVER by far. The only time it was topped was that run to the Super Bowl, that will go down as the greatest moments ever (at least until the Cards win the darn thing one year).

Despite extreme adversity due to injuries, a retirement and a suspension BA and his staff held this team together. With rare exception they played their guts out and somehow scrapped and clawed to 11 wins. Despite 9 games without their QB, with a mix of Stanton, Lindley and Thomas they won 11 freakin' games!

Amazing is not even adequate to describe the year. Miraculous almost seems to fit.

I have had my own meltdowns on events this season. I have maligned Stanton and Lindley, not without some merit maybe, but I still see 11-4 when I look at the standings. Stanton went 5-3 somehow despite his play for the most part. He is a 3 and out machine but did do enough to allow the defense to win most of those games. Like I said, miraculous sometimes in the journey.

So, to the 2014 Arizona Cardinals, I salute you! Thank you for playing tough and laying it all out there throughout this challenging season. Thank you, Coach Arians and staff, thank you Mr. Keim and Mr. Bidwill for assembling a true TEAM. Sucks that the stars weren't aligned for you to make the Super Bowl this season (or so it appears) but YOU sure didn't suck this season.

Happy New Year and make it happen again in 2015 but let's be in the Big Game after the end next time.

If we were a perennial 10+ winning team from now on, I'd be one happy camper just to experience a chance at the playoffs. We over achieved this season with who we had left standing. We ran out of bullets and now the chambers empty. It happens. IF we lose in the first round, there is nothing to be ashamed of.... except maybe the QB. GO CARDS!:newcards:

Good post TRW. I just feel it will sting a little bit more knowing Carson was basically our Kurt. We may still pull some magic out of a hat and make miracles happen, but it was so reassuring to see 3 back there holding us down. Nothing against Drew, but I feel we lost a little bit of fire collectively when CP went down. Credit to the team for getting this far, and I wear my gear proudly here in Philly knowing we never quit.

Agreed. I'd love to see how scary this team would have been if healthy.

I would love to just appreciate what we were able to do and not be upset with a quick exit in the playoff. I would be less than honest though as I am depressed with the turn the season has taken. I mean I am begging for a healthy Stanton.

Just plain sucks........

Lots of great wins stacked up on each other. I'll stick with it until the end but no matter how it turns out, I'm not complaining about anything. In quite a few stretches this team couldn't win 11 games in two consecutive seasons during my time as a fan.
