Dude.... JV was way above average for us last year. No need to change that now. Especially with Carson & JV's natural rapport.

They must had Humphries graded as having potential to be elite (like mayock did) and thought the potential of two elite tackles was their best bet at bottom of first round even though it wasn't a major need

Seems like the front office feels he can play on the right side. I will trust them on this over some of the posters on here for now.

DVontel posted this in the draft thread;

“@PFF: New Cardinals OT D.J. Humphries had a Pass Blocking Efficiency Rating of 96.7%, 45th amongst OTs in this draft class.”

That doesn't sound like a smart pick to me

NFL Draft Advisory Board recommended to D.J. Humphries that he stay in school for another season. He didn't listen. @SInow

I'll reserve judgment. Went where most analysts predicted (late first round). Many predict he'll be converted to RT. has a nasty demeanor in the run game. Our run game has been awful for 30 years. You win in the NFL with a strong OL and DL. Not a sexy pick and I wanted defense, but I'm not gonna poo poo the pick too much.
