Is this year predicted to be the highest grossing box office in history? Still some money makers to come...Hunger Games, James Bond and Star Wars.

I've only seen 2 of the movies on that Top 10, JW and AOU.

I still cant believe those fast and furious movies make as much as they do. To each their own ofcourse and obviously A LOT of people like them, I am not one of them.

Did anyone predict at the start of the year that Jurassic world would blow Avengers 2 out of the water? Wow...

I don't think that anybody predicted Jurassic World would blow just about everybody except for 2 movies in history out of the water.

Yeesh, this is depressing for the future quality of Hollywood movie making. The top two were horrible. Ultron was disappointing. Inside Out was good, but 5th-best at the box office good? I didn't see San Andreas or Terminator, but have heard and seen enough to know they're garbage. Fifty Shades is garbage that espouses abuse, not safe lifestyle practices. I can't speak to the quality of Minions, Mission: Impossible or Cinderella. And the best movie of the year thus far, by a mile, didn't out-earn any of these at the box office? Sad, just sad.

Fury Road!

Yes I know you weren't asking me. :) Just IMHO

Followed closely by Ex Machina.

Would be interested to hear what you think best of 2015 is Cheese, as an aficionado and what not. :notworthy:

I'm going Fury Road right now. Inside Out second. Nothing else really comes to mind all that much... and I've seen EVERYTHING.

I actually liked The Gift a lot. Oh yeah... and the documentary Cartel Land was pretty fantastic.

Agree I thought The Gift was really good. Joel Edgerton is a really good actor in his own rite, going back to Warrior. Side note about The Gift, I didn't know that Edgerton directed that as well. Talented guy.

I will check out Cartel Land if I can. I just saw a documentary called Meru about mountain climbers, it was pretty great.

He wasn't asking you, but you answered pretty well. Yep, I'll go with those as my top 2. I'm glad I had to take my friend to see Fury Road.

We get along really well when I'm not being overly sensitive in the Cardinals forum. :) Good stuff Stout.

It's nice when a movie surprises you like that.

Well, it did look good. I was only avoiding it out of remake/reboot principle in the first place :)

I've seen the top 5. Minions was the worst. The other 4 all deserved to be where they ended up on the list
