It looks like they took a lot of college relievers in the first 6 picks. Are these guys projected to transition to starters? I like the Swanson pick but I don't understand the thought process of drafting multiple relievers.

ARZ's biggest weakness is their bullpen, so them drafting so many college arms tells me they are hoping to get immediate help. RP's usually move faster through the system than other positions. I would think ARZ is planning on using some of these guys as SP's at least initially and see if they can stick.

You are exactly correct. Statistically, the fastest position to make it to the big leagues is pitcher. Probably why teams put in the most money for that position
