Hopefully Washington and Anaheim close out their series tonight.

That was an exciting game 6 between the Rangers and Caps - furious rally at the end for the Caps but they fell short. Terrible penalty call though on the Rangers at the end - glad the Caps didn't score during that PP to tie it.
I am surprised - not really, but - at how ineffective Yandle is on the Rangers. He is like a ghost on the ice.

I thought he was fine during the Pitt series of what little I watched. The Caps forwards are gigantic and have definitely exposed him. There are some rumors he's playing hurt, but most players are this time of year.

I just don't expect him to magically turn into a stay at home d-man and I think he'll rebound in the next series if they win game 7. He still can move the puck with the best of them and once he truly gets the NY system down, he'll go back to being an assist machine that will make bone-headed decisions now and again.

Used all of your juju in the early rounds, eh? ;)

Sorry, Canada, the cup stays in the US this year. (Until the US based team whose players are mostly Canadian bring the cup back home in the off season)

USA :thewave: USA

Can't wait to see if the Great 8's prediction err, guarantee, comes true.

:)

I think Ovechkin is going to have a great game tonight, but I don't know if it's going to be enough to win.

Game 7's in the SC Playoffs make me happy no matter who is playing.

Yeah. For some odd reason I'm enjoying watching the NHL playoffs more than the NBA playoffs this year.

I haven't watched a full 4 quarters of B-ball for years now, playoff or otherwise. I've always preferred the NHL, but I just fell out of love with the NBA and never give it any time these days. Not bashing it, just doesn't do if for me like it used to.

I like all sports...:) but I havent followed hockey since Raymond Bourque lifted up the cup. The two lockouts really turned me off for years, but I'm over it.

The lockouts were rough. No denying that. Especially when we weren't even sure the Yotes would be back after the dust settled. Nowadays, yearly relocation threats are just part of the joy of rooting for this particular team. It's like a win just to start the season. :D

Rags in 4
Quacks in 5
Lights in 6
Mild in 7

So, if you don't mind my lotto numbers I threw in there for some reason, I'll take 3/4. I really thought the Wild could ride Dubs into the Conference Finals, but oh well.

Anaheim (#1) vs. Chicago (#3)

and

New York (#1) vs. Tampa Bay (#2)

This will be some great hockey. First game Saturday morning. (NY v TB)

I think Chicago takes the West and NY the East. I would prefer the Ducks and Lightning in the final though.

And an honorable mention for Yandle with the secondary assist on the GWG in OT.

A sweep in the East?? I sure hope not, Bishop will steal at least one.

I'm going with:

NY in 6

CHI in 6

I'm glad the red wings are out of the playoffs.

My second round predictions:
Rangers over Capitals in six games
Ducks over Flames in 4 games
Canadians over Lighting in 7 games
Blackhawks over Wild in 5 games

BTW, pretty close yourself.
