Anyone going? I have heard this is a pretty cool event. I will be going for the first time this year.

I went a couple of years ago. It is fun.

Goldie was in a fence-enclosed area. I tried to get him to come over to say 'hi' and get a photo with him (even through the fence).

He went to the fence only if there was a kid calling him over.

Still, it was enjoyable. It really gets you revved up for the coming season .

And I was revved up the day Chip Hale was named Manager.

I told you not to wear that shirt you made.

"I bleed for you Goldie" written in your own blood on a shirt only sounds good as a metaphor bro...

LOL.

Actually, I was wearing my D-backs Sedona red jersey with my name and favorite number 22 on the back.

The only team I am bleeding for nowadays is the Suns. Out of my ears. :)

Ken Kendrick

This regards the fans, so I'll slip it into the Fan Fest thread.

A human interest story about the D-backs Managing General Partner Ken Kendrick.

The prized baseball cards he is holding in the photo are Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle and, I'm pretty sure, Andy Pafko who had a very short tenure with the Brooklyn Dodgers. No one ever stuck out his butt as far as Andy Pafko when at-bat.

If any of our old timers think it may be someone else, let me know. I sold off my 1953 16-MLB team collection years ago.

I wonder if Robert Sarver read the article on how an owner can truly stop meddling and change his public image.
