How tall is jaren jackson, I watched him play live for first time since opening game against duke.

He looks close to 7 feet, even though listed at 6'10. He is the first thing jumps out when you watch the game, more comparable to bamba then I would have thought.

I have a feeling that Warren would be a player that a lot of Suns fans would covet if he played in LA but since he's a Suns player he's under-appreciated. I don't care how you look at it, his contract is no worse than fair, it's definitely not a bad deal, and if we can bring in a better SF then he should be a solid 6th man. Suns fans either undervalue or overvalue the players on this team.

Realistically and worst case, PHX will be picking #10 at the earliest and maybe get a late round pick conveyed. So wings and big men will most likely be the BPA's they will target.

Right now they are projected at #10 & #19.

Draft Net has us taking Mikel Bridges & Troy Brown but I like bigs like: McCoy, Carter & Metu and Landry Shamet with the later 1st rounder.

I've seen him listed at 6-11 as well. He's also long, with a 7'4 wingspan, and may be growing...He's one of the youngest draft prospects this year.

There's a lot to like about this kid. Averages 3.3 blocks and shoots 45% from 3!

Also, quite the athlete:

I think he's only under the radar because the class is so loaded at the top and because he only plays 23 minutes a game for Michigan State.

I wouldn't put a priority on a Small Forward becoming a better rebounder. But, as your 'either' clarifies, he needs to improve on his outside shooting and defense.

Right now, Warren being around a 20-ppg scorer and taking the scoring load off DBook is paramount. I wouldn't remove him from our starting lineup until we have one or two others who could fulfill that role.

Placating Booker by giving him a voice in player personnel moves is nothing compared to the Front Office engineering support for him on the court.

Two wings as NBA all-stars would continue our imbalance. I would hope for an outstanding player at Point Guard or a power position to complement Booker.

I am not placing priority on it. I'd rather he become a 34% three-point shooter and a better defender, but I'll take anything else he can add to his game.

Hope America gives Trae Young a break after OU loses games moving forward. He's doing everything except sell popcorn. Averaging 37.0 PPG in his last three.

Yeah. He's amazing, and the team around him is not as amazing. They rely on him even more than the Suns rely on Booker. Makes his assist totals even more impressive.

Man if DeAndre Ayton keeps blocking shots like this there's no question who's going #1 overall. Ayton has FIVE blocks in the first half against Stanford, he's definitely picking it up defensively.

Really fun game, Reid Travis is one of those guys who drives you nuts because he always clears out with his left hand as he shoots with the right, he's the one that broke the nose of Tom Welsh of UCLA doing exactly that. But he's going right at Ayton, Ayton blocked one of his shots and glared at him and Travis went right back at him and drew a foul and was yelling at him "you can't guard me."

The rest of his game was mediocre.

That's because he got into foul trouble and they were keying on him. He had a huge play late when he got triple teamed and passed to Alkins for the go ahead shot, really nice pass for a young big

You have to remember he’s a freshman. And he was playing against a heady upperclassman who, while a good 5 inches shorter, is strong and good player in his own right (kid averaging 20 and 8). With experience I think ayton will figure out how to impose his will the game in the future. The gravity he creates still opens up the floor for his teammates.

I gotta say I am becoming a fan of Wendell Carter. Obviously, Bagley is getting most of the media attention but I don't think DUKE has as much success without Carter. Being compared to Horford, I think he will be a steal in the late lottery range. He is already showing an improved shooting range (48% from 3pt range). Questions about his lateral quickness and average athleticism but the kid is a straight up baller.

He has been impressive for sure. He's the prospect in this draft with the most Booker potential in that, because his team is so stacked, he might have even more to offer than has been shown this year.

Has anyone watched any tape of Zion Williamson? He will be in next year's draft. 6-8, 270, pudgy kid. Handles the ball like a pg. Extremely fast, jumps out of the gym. All kinds of moves. Kinda like a cross between Charles Barkley and LeBron James.

Heavily hyped kid so far due to his dunking ability. Will be fascinating to see what his game develops into at duke.

No, it is not.

Forgetting that he's doing what he's doing for $3m bucks, his salary for next season is $11,750,000 - that equates to a 'this season' salary rank of 101st:

http://www.espn.com/nba/salaries/_/page/3

His current PER ranking - adjusting for those who've played a decent amount of minutes - is 60th (click on PER at the top to rank by this):

https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2018_advanced.html

His PPG ranks 28th (click on PPG..):

https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2018_per_game.html

Statistically he's outstanding value - and again, that's factoring in next year's salary for this year; there's no reason his output shouldn't get better again next season making his $11.5 seem even better value than it is already.

What is his production other than scoring at below league average efficiency?

His EFG% and his TS% are pretty much in the middle of the pack, marginally below the middle, so you're not wrong but you definitely sound like you're overstating things again.

If only Warren had Bender's understanding of the game, maybe he'd be a good NBA player.

One of several highlight-reel plays from Jaren Jackson Jr. against Illinois.

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

He had 21 points, 11 rebounds, and six blocks.
