Ok, I can get behind that pick. Basically a 40% 3 point shooter and a good defender. He's got a 7 foot wingspan also.

So much talent left....Suns will regret this. They could have had Reed in free agency or with the 2nd second rd pick. Terrible.

He's a 2nd round pick, I don't see that as terrible. He may have been available later but he's still a 2nd rounder and if he can be a rotation player then that's a good pick.

Bad pick with so many legit guys still on the board. Not that it was necessarily going to make or break the future, but reaching for a guy early in the second round who may likely not even have been drafted.

I don't think he was that unknown if the Suns drafted him at #32. Could be wrong.

Pick for need. Shoots the three, and from big distance. Also gets after it defensively. Nice option. Oh well. Wanted Bell.

Who knows who else will slip.

If your going to reach I would rather take FC player. Can never have enough big men.

Draft Express had Reed at #53 in their final mock, so at least he was on the board somewhere.

There were rumors the Suns were trading Jared Dudley for a couple of 2nd round picks earlier. I don't know what happened with that.

The 2nd round is when it's safe to pick for need rather than BPA. The order is way too hard to predict because teams make picks for various reasons in the 2nd round, they pick for need, BPA, to stash, and long term projects.

So, they have Chriss, Bender, Chandler, Williams, and Len. I am assuming one of the last two will not be back, but that's a lot of 4s and 5s, especially when you also have TJ and Jackson who can play 3 and 4. They need defenders and shooters.

Bell or Brooks would have been the right pick. Ulis was a good pick last year - otherwise, have not been too overwhelmed with McD's picks outside the lottery.

I trust the FO that they felt they had to take him at #32. They talk to the agents so maybe they new he would be taken before their later pick.

Its definitely more of a need pick, but i'm okay with that picking at #32

Oejeleye, Rabb, Bell, Brooks among few others were all still on board and more than likely will produce more than Reed.

The Suns did draft Ulis in the 2nd round the previous draft.
