After getting Jackson is anyone still upset we fell to #4 in the lottery? I think he was the player most people wanted when the lottery took place, glad he was there. Could have done without the drama to get here but we got the player we should have picked had we stayed at #2 or fallen to #3.

Just that the Laker's with their smug attitude got #2 and their pick Ball.

Yeah, but the Suns don't already have Towns and Wiggins. I like the move for them. Dunn underperformed as a rookie, and LaVine is never going to be the kind of go-to wing they need.

Thanks for saving me the trouble Eric. I don't think everybody in the league can just say "oh well we can't compete with Golden State for the next several years so let's keep developing until then.". Sure for some teams it makes sense… like Phoenix. I love that Minnesota roster now

Zack Lavine was all flash, he wasn't a very good player. Kris Dunn could be a good player but they have Rubio now at PG. Maybe they'll need a new PG in 4 years but they'll have 2 great players entering their prime. In 4 years they'll have a 25 year old Karl Anthony Towns and a 26 year old Andrew Wiggins, both should be All Stars then, easily.

And what else around them?

Josh jackson can be better than wiggins. They dont worry me 4 years from now as much as they would have. I was worried they take dennis smith... and he becomes a beast, with a devestating big 3.

I keep thinking the Suns will try to add another first round pick as Len protection.

Gambo likes Reed and Ojeleye in the 2nd round.
Reed isn't even projected to be drafted, I'd be upset if the Suns actually spent a draft pick on him.

Ojeleye is someone I really like though.

I read some stuff on Reed awhile back. He is good shooter and defender as I recall.

I hope the Suns don't get too focused on a guy and keep their minds open. There might be some really interesting prospects at 32 you wouldn't expect to be there.

@Ronin

There goes your guy, Justin Jackson.

I hope I have it correct.

Jackson isn't the scorer Wiggins is. Those 2 really aren't similar players at all, Jackson is more of a top 3 & D sort of player who will standout defensively while Wiggins is an above average scorer and capable defender. Towns and Wiggins are the best 1-2 young tandem in the league. If we got Porzingis then maybe Booker and him could give them a run for being the best young 1-2 punch but as is they're set for a while with just those 2. Butler rounds out a current big 3 for them. They also have Dieng and Rubio to round out their starting lineup. They're going to have playoff experience before the Suns which will help their youngsters a great deal. They're now in win-now mode and will be until Towns and Wiggins hit their 30's, which is 9 years away.

At what point do we dump Knights contact? We're keeping Bledsoe. We need to dump Knight tonight. I don't care if it costs us a second round pick.

Great trade for next 4 years, I agree.... when they have 0 shot to win the title. How would you feel if we traded jackson for butler, I'd be sick. We easily could have done it, but were smart not too.
I agree with you but minny is desperate. How many years has it been since they made the playoffs? We want championships or contender status. Minny just wants playoffs.

Don't think eithe semi or reed are necessary at this point...they were probably back up plans ...I'd go with onunoby(similar to a draft and stash with the injury) at 32 or the Latvian . Or I'd take the highest rated center or pg if Bledsoe is on the move.

Any thoughts on Kobi Simmons in the late second?

OG won't last til 32. And kobi will take YEARS imo to be anything (of ever even becomes anything).

People calling Kings dysfunctional should think twice...they've had a fantastic draft.

"I don't think the other guys in this draft really care as much as I do. I don't think they play as hard as I do, period. I think that's what really makes me special. I refuse to fail, period."New Suns F Josh Jackson on his fellow first-round picks.
Love that attitude.
