This schedule is bull freaking ****! The NFL does realize we are in a dome now, right!? 5 games on the road in the first 8 weeks (games), including London time by followed amotjer roadie? Ridiculous.

Yep. Total BS. Built us a domed stadium so we could play early season games here in the desert and then they schedule us on the road. Then when the weather is beautiful they keep the roof closed also. So lame.

We fly to London right after the 9er game then when we return we have the bye week. Shouldn't be that bad and the road games early in the season only meant home games in the latter part. Come on man!

London is a neutral site game that we didn't have to sacrifice a home game to get, so we only have 7 true road games. Our first two road games, we should be at worst 1-1 to start the season, and when it matters, at the end, we have a grip of home games. Our BYE is in the middle of the season.

The only thing that's [emoji243][emoji90] is that we only have two prime time games, but overall, it's fine.

I will be at the Indy game and MAYBE Detroit. Now I just have to figure out which home game to go to.

How many teams are the Cards facing, coming off of a bye? I know that's been an issue the last couple of years.

I did a quick skim and believe two teams we face come off a TNF interval. Niners play us Oct. 1. Previous game is on Sept. 21 when they host the Rams.

Other game I detected in the opposite direction was Nov. 9 when we play Seattle on TFN, but both teams have to deal with the same 4-day truncated interval so neither team has the advantage.

I'm not aware of any opponent coming off a BYE week. We get the one BYE week advantage coming after the London game.

One thing I'm not sure about is how the 1 pm (ET) London start date translates into hours gained or lost traveling from a Western state to London and then getting used to "normal" London time.

As for the five 1pm (ET) contests - I know the Cardinal DNA seems to hate early-Sun games in Eastern cities, but - as we've had to do with road games in Seattle - we'll just have to find a way to end that curse.

Let's do it! Eric might have it on the travel list, he said he will know on or before the draft.

If they're going to take me there but not bring me back I'll pass. I think I am going to book the trip this weekend. There is a hotel within walking distance of the stadium, and it books up pretty quick.

Man this schedule looks great. I don't see any games that scare the crap out of me unlike last year. The only one I don't like is at Seattle to finish the season. Even then we have had success up there recently.

What really sucks as far as early starts go is that Seattle only has one this season. Their games at Green Bay, Tennessee, the Giants, and Dallas are all in the late window. Their only early game is at Jacksonville.

we started like 8 straight seasons at home after we got the dome. We had 5 of our first 8 at home last season. Get a grip guys. Sometimes you start at home, sometimes you start on the road. Big whoop.

Yeah, Josh Weinfuss at ESPN is making a big deal out of this today.

You could say that the division winner should get more prime time games...and favorable East Coast times...but the Cardinals won the division in 2015 and the schedulers gave the Cardinals early times and the Seahawks late times. I think it's because the Seahawks typically fly more miles than any other NFL team.

OK---but there's the thing---if your boss gave you the option of working 8-4 on Friday or 11-7 on Friday, which would you choose?

Both have advantages.

By playing the early times, the Cardinals can get back to Arizona at a decent time.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks are getting back to Seattle between 2-3 AM.

The Cardinals have to flip the psychology on this.

BA has tried to give the players early practice times on weeks with early starts -- but, it's best, imo, to keep the practice times the same. Don't tax the players more than you need to. Have as regular of a week as you can and then go to the early game with the thought of how sweet it would be to savor a win back home 3-4 hours earlier than if the game was played 3 hours later.

I agree. It is what it is. Deal with it like pros. Turn it into an advantage.

The one legitimate grip the Cardinals do have is 4 consecutive away games the last 2 PS games and Games 1-2. The schedule makers should take the PS into consideration.

Not sure how feasible or allowable this is, but especially with playing 5 PS games, why not leave the starters at home for the last PS game at Denver? They aren't going to play anyway. Yes, the rosters are down to 70 by then, but the Cardinals would still have 48 players which is 3 more than the 45 that play on real game days.

I don't think it has to do with winning the division or flight miles, it has to do with that fact that Seattle has been to the Super Bowl twice recently and is a more attractive team for the networks. Nothing short of winning and becoming more of a TV draw is going to change that either.

Good point.

Yep. I'd actually prefer to start on the road every year. The first game of the year probably has the most preparation anyway, so might as well start on the road against a winnable team.
