Why are the Suns focusing on a player they have under control, rather than meeting with a player they need to sign with their cap space? They could have, and should have, already made arrangements with Oubre to hold off until the Suns had signed what they needed with their cap space.

More signs of incompetence and poor planning on the part of James Jones.

Entirely possible, which begs the question as to why the Suns didn't already meet with him, since he was under contract with them. James Jones is about as incompetent as they come.
