WHAT? Why not?
They are running out of cap room in LA. Maybe he thinks he’s worth more on the market.

Just looking at the nuts and bolts. A resigned Oubre (15) plus Tyler, plus maybe Korver could work.

I do not see a Rubio, Booker, Westbrook combo as workable and Westbrook's deal is $38 million and more for the next four years. They will probably have to include incentives to move him.

Why would Oubre agree to go to a stripped OKC team?

OK. Here is a deal that works cap wise.

Orlando gets: Westbrook, Miami 2021, Phoenix 2020 (not sure about protection). Vucevic slides to the 4 and Bamba to the Center.
OKC gets: Tyler Johnson, Evan Fournier. They get out from under Westbrooks deal and get a player back.
Phoenix gets: Aaron Gordon. They have wanted him anyway.

I'm still waiting to hear something about Rubio from the Suns not to mention Oubre.

There are multiple levels of smarm in the NBA.
  • You sign a fat free agent deal to play with a team then force your way out when things aren't going well.
  • You get traded to a team you never really wanted to play for in the first place then force your way out.
  • You force your way out of one team after another never happy, never successful, constantly blaming all around you for your lack of success.

Interesting isn't it? I think Rubio is in Spain right now. Maybe it's nothing?

When there are delays I always think trade but the Suns have already committed to Rubio.
