it’s more like paying for a mystery box that might have a Lexus in it. If you end up with a Camry and spend all your time bitching it’s not a Lexus you’ll never be happy.

the draft if a pure crap shoot especially in the 1 and done era

What was the relative cost of your mystery box?

Well there is a lot of LA bias, but I would pick the clippers too.

I think the Mavericks are a lot better than posters here seem to realize but I agree, I'd pick the Clippers too. But the Mavericks went 34 -17 after their slow start and you don't win 67% of your games over a 3.5 month stretch without being a pretty good team.

Trail Blazers beat the Nuggets decisively last night 123-109. They let Jokic score but held him to 1 assist.

It sounds like the Christmas tournament idea is back. I'm sure the players will like it....

I totally get the play in games, but a mid season tournament... for money? And that has no effect on the standings but would only provide more games and wear snd tear on guy? Yeah... no.

It's all about the NBA offering more excitement for the new television contract.

What's even the idea behind it?

It seems to be an idea to build more excitement into the season based on the European soccer model event.
What's in it for the players? Draft position?

Oh ok. So like the summer tournaments that were on TV in 2019. I don't know how much a mil moves the needle. End of bench guys.

If it doesn't add to the length of the season I like the idea. I used to enjoy holiday tournaments in college and high school basketball.
