If he asks for a trade it will have little to do with the all-star game. It will have everything to do with the team imploding the rest of the season and not making moves needed to get guys around him.

Book has been patient over these past four seasons. I wonder if his dad (with his NBA experience) played a role in that.

Whether talking about the team's performance or Book's lack of All Star recognition, it comes down to two words - -
Robert Sarver. The league isn't spiting Booker because of his performance. They are spiting a stupid owner.

No one can blame Book for when he wants to bail out.

But don't you all think this will light a fire under Booker for the rest of the year?

That may be the silver lining here.

Either that or cause him to check out until he is traded...

He really can't play any better than he has been lately.

Devin Booker can't do much more than he's been doing for the past year and a half.
(Edit: as 1Sun just posted.)

I hope that Sarver doesn't use that same reasoning to justify his lazy management.

Y'know, Sarver, the guy who went public about moving the Suns to Seattle or Las
Vegas, then tried to do some serious damage control the next day.

Just when we think that it's hit the fan, we know there'll be more bad new coming.

Books fire is already burning. I hope it will light a fire under the dope that cost him this berth with his supension--a little fire under the rest of the team would help too.

Sarver could offer to sell the team if it will help Book get to the all-star game. That would be a reasonable gesture.

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. And it will work with Booker just as it worked with AD. Expect Booker to be a Warrior or Timberwolf (much more likely a Warrior) by this time next year.
0% chance this happens. Maybe in 2-3 if we start to decline again, but 0% chance it happens within the year... once again, you are becoming a parody. Let’s not forget that you claimed that Ayton was going to demand a trade by this trade deadline.

I agree with others, Booker is already playing his best.

This doesn't mean Booker and the team will not make a case on the court that he is better than some of the players voted ahead of him.

Such bullcrap

There’s got to be an underlying issue/motive with the league and the Suns.
All the BS calls in most of the games and now overlooking Booker.

BC, we've spoken about this numerous time and Sarver never threatened to take the Suns to Vegas or Seattle, especially not publicly. It seems you repeat that falsehood every time you get on a Sarver bashing rant though and it's just not true.

If you're going to continue mentioning it, please provide a source for your accusations. Unless you can do that then you should stop relying on that point as a foundation to build your case against him on because it calls into the question the accuracy of everything else you claim. It's not like he's been a good owner or doesn't have other misdeeds to point to.

With Doncic's injury it is likely that Booker gets on as an injury replacement, unless Doncic really pushes himself to play but seeing as he has injured the same ankle twice in a month, the Mavs will probably want him to take all the time off he can get.

It is still garbage though, he should have been an absolute lock to make the team.

This is true. The reporter that claimed he made this threat later went public and recanted the story.

In NBA history there only two players who averaged +27 pts, 6 assists on +60 TS% (True Shooting percentage) within the first five years of their careers. One is a legend....Michael Jordan. Guess who the other is?

Not that I am comparing Jordan's overall career to Booker.

Just listening to James Jones on the way in to work. He made me really angry. His response to the Booker snub was a mealy mouthed "that's the way it goes sometimes" and when asked about who on the all-star team should be behind Book he said that they all deserve to be on the team

STAND UP FOR YOUR FREAKING GUY JAMES JONES! THATS WHAT HIS COACH AND GM SHOULD DO! HIS TEAMMATES AND COACHES AND FRONT OFFICE PEOPLE SHOULD BE RAISING HOLY HELL.

What a wuss.

Well, Doug Franz just expressed the same concern on KTAR.

His previous statement regarding Devin Booker was not as strong as I would like either.

Suns just sent out a release from James Jones. “I’ve played with and against multiple All-Stars in this league and Devin Booker is undoubtedly an NBA All Star.”

Eh - would throwing a fit really help matters if the reason they didn't vote for him is hate of Sarver and the Suns org?

The truth is there is only two ways this does not happen in the future - Booker either gets so good it is undeniable he is an all star - or the Suns are a legit playoff team.

I do not agree Booker is playing his best. He could absolutely be getting more good 3 point shots up - and his defense can still get a lot better.

Throwing a fit shows Booker what his people think about him. He needs that right now.

Also there is the slim chance Booker might still get added due to an injury.

I do think Booker is playing some of the basketball of his career without being overly reliant on the 3 point shot.
