From Coyotes pregame notes tonight at WPG: Having already set a personal best for points in a month, Nick Schmaltz looks to become the first player in Coyotes/Jets franchise history to record 20-plus points in a regular-season calendar month since Alex Zhamnov (20, April '95).

Phil Kessel will pass Doug Jarvis for 2nd on the NHL's all-time consecutive games played list today in Winnipeg w/his 965th straight game. "He's still excited, he's still 20 years old," coach André Tourigny said. Former Coyote Keith Yandle will play his 988th straight game today.

Coyotes F Christian Fischer didn't play at Calgary Friday and is week to week with a lower body injury. "Fish was playing good hockey, brings a lot of energy, a lot of leadership. It's unfortunate," coach Andre Tourigny said.
