#CFB Week 1 Thoughts: Carson Strong had plenty of high moments vs. Cal. Two big time throws on comeback routes and deep accuracy on go routes. There isn’t a QB in this class that’s more mature at the line than him. Switching protections, flipping RBs, hitting hot routes, etc.
His biggest issue is getting locked into deep targets and not seeing safeties scraping over the top. The deep ball is his best weapon, but he’s still a javelin thrower that puts way too much air on the ball at times. Saw that on the INT at the beginning of the 4th quarter.
#CFB Week 1 Thoughts: It didn’t take long to identify No. 14 from Notre Dame. Kyle Hamilton constantly flashed vs. FSU. Single and 2-high alignments. Elite range on the backend. He’s a safety that can wear multiple hats successfully in the secondary.
#CFB Week 3 Thoughts: Malik Willis is quietly handling business. His throwing platform and understanding of pitch speeds are much improved. No quality opponent yet, but scouts have the Nov. 6 game against Ole Miss circled on the calendar.
