IMO the sweet spot for a RB is the 4th round. You can usually get a guy that was a bellcow in college, has some good traits, and will at the very least be a decent ST contributor. If I was a GM...I would plan on drafting a RB in the 4th-5th round every other year. That way you keep a constant supply of cheap, decent ball carries. If you hit on one great, if not..then you aren't heavily invested.

Im really hoping we get to see Eno on Sunday. I think he could be a really sold RB behind Edmonds, and if he performs the way I think he can I would be fine rolling into next year with those 2 as our top options.

I highly doubt Ossai falls that far, but I would love this.
I tend to agree which is why I thought he might be a 1st round option. Seems like what I thought was going to be a good EDGE class for 2nd and 3rd round are all elevating themselves into the 1st and 2nd.

Between Rousseau, Paye, Hutchinson, Ossai, Roche, Hamilcar, Pat Jones, Ojulari, Basham, Oweh, Toney, Dimukeji and Weaver that is 13 players who could arguably go in the top 64 (unlikely they all do). Add in a deep WR class, the normal QB needs and then OL...man, some talent is going to drop. Also, S is pretty solid in round 2. I guess this isn't any different from most years, but we will have plenty of options for a quality player when we pick in round 2.

Think we gotta go EDGE over CB in the first despite CB being a bigger need

More rare to find a very good starting EDGE after the 1st than a CB.

in the it's never too early for Russ to hype a USC receiver, not 2021 but 2022 WR Drake London. Not first rounder I don't think he's fast enough but that kid will play in the NFL, probably for years.

he's a 2 sport guy football and basketball and is even playing both at USC. My guess is he'll get serious about the NFL heading into his junior year and quit basketball but no way of knowing.

Big strong, guy, good hands, plays the ball in the air. 6'5" 210 but I think he's bigger. Again not a speed guy, no idea where he'll get drafted but going to be a good NFL player for years IMO.

For this coming year I never saw him before this weekend, Oregon State RB Jermar Jefferson. Really nice player

I really like Amon-Ra.

The CB class will make it interesting.

Also, how the Cardinals target EDGE players will be interesting. Do they add a smaller dude opposite of Jones or a raw freak like Oweh to develop behind him? Ojulari is really good. Same with Ossai.

I DVR'd the Tulsa and Tulane game to get a good look at Collins.

I think Oweh is gonna have a insane combine & leap over Ossai. I gotta watch a bit more on Ojulari, but I like him. Something about those Georgia EDGE players make me nervous though.

20. Shaun Wade, CB
52. Quincy Roche, EDGE
83. Jaylen Twyman, 5-tech
160. Khalil Herbert, RB
241. Tamorrion Terry, WR

Chris Olave looks incredible. Not sure he’s worth 20, but it’s close!

D'Erik King as a 6th or 7th round pick for backup QB?

Kyler's injury the other day got me thinking..

Unless they really believe in Strev.

I like Olave, but he's a 2nd round pick imo.

Im so worried about the draft this year. It just seems like it will be impossible to have a good picture of guys.

I would be all for some trades that bring in proven youngish players. To me they will do more for our core group than some of this years rookies.

It may just be human nature but I actually think Amon Ra might be the 3rd best NFL prospect on his own team this year. I like Drake London and Bru McCoy better. Amon Ra is further along, more polished right now but the other 2 are bigger, stronger, both have great hands and I think are just starting to come into their own with another year. If London quits basketball and really leans into football, he can be really good and McCoy might be an even better prospect.

Slater is a good player, but I am becoming less confident that he will make it to round 2.

Early round 2 targets in terms of positions...RB and WR will provide some solid value. Edge may also have some quality dudes.
Agreed. As much as I don’t want to take a RB or WR in round 2 the talent those positions and our ability to get them on the field and get production out of them immediately might dictate taking one.
