Just saw this interesting tidbit. No active NBA player has ever played against the Sacramento Kings in the playoffs.
The Kings haven't been to the playoffs since the 05-06 season.
I knew they had a bunch of picks but WOW. I didn't realize it was that many. How many draft picks does it take to rebuild?

A lot if you want quality players. How many draft picks does it take to rebuild?

They might get 3 or 4 good ones out of that whole bunch.
How many of those do you think they will actually hit on? They can package them for a player or two.
Alot
They’ve proven they can draft aswell as anyone in the NBA.
And OKC has even hit on undrafted free agents like Luguentz Dort.

@Russ Smith
I can see where the Warriors are excited about the future of Ryan Rollins.
Warriors sign No. 44 pick Ryan Rollins to 3-year rookie contract
The Warriors signed second-round pick Ryan Rollins to a three-year contract on Thursday.therookiewire.usatoday.com
They apparently love him but he had a stress fracture in his foot and missed summer league so it's a great sign they signed him shows they expect full recovery.
Teh story was he was working out and Kerr was there on a stationary bike and said it was so obvious to him how good Rollins was after the workout he asked Myers and others and they basically said yes we love him, keep it quiet.
So Kerr was ecstatic when they drafted him
Sure it is. With draft picks there is more risk, but higher potential reward. This is true for a lot teams.
James Jones approach of adding veteran players to surround their youthful players might help.

Bottom line, you are not getting a young star player without draft picks, and without a young star you are not going to be able to build a championship team.
So I personally do not think you can succeed in the long run without drafting.
