Only 4 games but looking like the Warrior players who said Wiseman would thrive in Detroit were correct. 23-39 from the floor so far, 52 points in 4 games. He has 2 games of 10 boards already, 8 per as a Piston. Still having issues on defense reportedly but since Detroit sucks, he's able to play through them. He's completely outplayed Duren who was the starter, last game 23 points in 27 minutes. Happy for him, sucks it didn't happen with teh Warriors but it was simple they are in a small window before Curry, Klay and Draymond are too old, if they're not already, so they just couldn't afford to let Wiseman learn on the court like Detroit can.
Wow. I thought he would thrive too, but that's better than I expected.

I knew whoever traded for him was going to get a good deal.

Looks to me like the Lakers are throwing in the towel on the season. The trade looks good for next year. Do they have a pick in this draft?

The Lakers are making the play-in regardless of Lebron coming back. I wouldn’t hate the Lakers and Pelicans winding up in the 7/8 slots and giving Denver/Memphis a series in the first.

Sounds like something Steven A Smith would say to seem smart, even tho he has no clue what he's saying.

Pels have a pick swap with them which probably won't matter since it seems likely their own pick will be better.

I really don’t get the Jokic over Giannis MVP talk. Giannis scores and rebounds better and still gets 5 dimes a game, while being one of the best defensive players in the game. The Bucks have the best record in the league. They’ve done so in the East which is tougher than the West this year and he’s led them to the best record with the Bucks missing their 2nd best player for half of the season.

How is he not the MVP over a guy who’s a much better passer but that is the literally the only thing he does better than Giannis and isn’t even close on defense.

Did you also hear the report that Jokic's team is helping him pad stats? For example, if there are two of them near the rebound, the other guy is letting Jokic grab it to pad his stats.

That’s lame if true.

Denver hasn't won anything since Jokic became an MVP. His first was deserving, his second was understandable, but no one should win 3 in a row without a title or at least finals appearance in the previous 2 years. Yes, I know MVP is a regular season award, I don't care when it comes to consecutively winning those awards. You can't keep saying this guy is great when nothing is at stake and awarding them prestigious honors.

There have been HOF players that have never won rings. If you can't get your team deep in the playoffs or a title? I find it hard to believe you can keep winning MVP after MVP. Yes, you can be a great player but to me MVP's take your team to new heights.

I don't know that they are. A win over a super inconsistent Thunder team isn't enough to make me think their rag tag bunch can hold the line for 3 weeks. And really, they need to do better than just hold the line, right now they are 11th.

It would slay me if the Mavs are the team who slips out though.

Lebron will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

So, lame. Have no clue if it's true. Likely more crap floating around the net.

It wouldn't be the first time. There were a bunch of videos showing the extremes the Thunder went to get Westbrook his boards. They basically gave up on transition offense to make sure everyone was boxed out and Westbrook had space to get the board.

During his run of triple double seasons his rate of "contested boards" was like half that of the rest of the league leaders.

He also doesn’t have the team. Last year who was his second best player Aaron Gordon?
