Mavs suck and it’s only a matter of time before Luka asks out.
I think the mavs will be fine. They definitely need to keep improving their squad. But they are going to have to hang their hat on offense. Luka could always leave. I have enjoyed watching him and will continue to enjoy it as long as he is there.

Their problem is lack of assets going forward. They should’ve kept Brunson and traded him later if he was unhappy. Kyrie is the ultimate wild card and could pull any type of random nonsense.

Yeah for sure. I would be surprised if Irving stays beyond this season. Probably depends on how he and luka play together and who Dallas can get in the offseason.

As for Brunson I thought he wanted to leave Dallas for NY. I think Dallas tried to keep him but he didn’t want to stay. I could be wrong though. I was on a massive time difference when that went down and I couldn’t pay close attention.

Warriors are making the Clippers look silly tonight. Who da thunk it.

I'd have thunk.

Getting Westbrook was insanity for that team. They needed a steady PG who could play defense and hit some outside shots, Westbrook is the exact opposite of that player.

I think he bails for the Lakers in the off season.

The only way he doesn't is if the Mavs offer him a fully guaranteed super-max... which would be utterly insane, he would spend the next half decade playing only when he felt like it and using any mild slight as a reason to head home, and essentially "retiring" without announcing it.

It horrifies me to say it, but I can see a scenario where we come up short, Kyrie makes it known he wants to be here or LA, we trade the only moveable asset we have (Ayton) so we can be the idiots who sign Kyrie. I doubt it happens... but I wouldn't put it outside the realm of possibility... I also think it would be another strong sign that Isiah Thomas is heavily involved in Ishbia's decision making.

There have been HOF players that have never won rings. If you can't get your team deep in the playoffs or a title? I find it hard to believe you can keep winning MVP after MVP. Yes, you can be a great player but to me MVP's take your team to new heights.
I mean they’re the number one seed and in every advanced stat, he’s basically number one in. He’s also 33rd in the league in usage rate so it’s not like he’s going out of his way to stat pad.

Also, they’ve won every game where he’s gotten a triple double. Jokic is unique because he truly does what’s best for the team. He doesn’t always shoot the most and he’s a point center that’s averaging 10+ assists and 11+ boards.

Do I think Giannis is a better individual player maybe in a vacuum, sure. Keep in mind last year Nuggets had no Murray or MPJ, who’ve each had really efficient seasons alongside the Joker.

The Bucks have 2 all-stars besides Giannis (arguably) when he rests. The Nuggets don’t so I can see how people view Jokic as more valuable.

Well, I am happy about this.

I want there to be no chance of the Suns having to go against them in the playoffs, our worst matchup in the west IMO.

Yeah the clippers play slow like we do, they just have two guys who are good at that pace. Also zubac matches up well with Ayton.

Denver and Memphis....I'd rather watch my wall in silence
Seriously. That’s 1 v. 2 in the West, I watched five minutes of it and thought neither of these teams will have any say in who goes to the Finals, got bored and turned it off.

Wow this is bad bad broadcasting.

The next segment Richard Jefferson "Can I give you an unpopular opinion?"

Pasch "Sure what else is new?"

Jefferson "I really really don't like you"

Jefferson is a damn clown on live TV

He was with JJ Redick in a game last week and they walked all over each other repeatedly.

Was it fun awkward like Bill Walton trolling him about evolution, or just uncomfortable awkward?

Clippers now 0-5 with Russ.

They were a top 10 defense before Westbrook joined them... since he signed they're giving up over 130 per game.

Just super awkward. Pasch is talking about basketball and Jefferson just starts talking football and then pivots to Pasch's job.
