I want Messi to win, but I really don't like the ARG team.

agreed. Aside from the US, I love a lot of the underdog teams. I do however like Mbappe and Giroud a lot.

I like the French players as well, but I believe Messi is the best player in history and he needs a World Cup to cement that belief (and finally put the Ronaldo v Messi debate to rest). So I'm hoping for a good game, but slightly favoring Argentina to win.

Maybe not all the way, but having a World Cup on Messi's resume will put him at a massive advantage in the debate.

The tournament will grow to 48 teams and a new Round of 32 in four years time. Infantino says that groups could grow from 12 to 16.
