They took a guy earlier in this draft projected as a second baseman, too. Loading up on second basemen for a reason?
This past season, Crenshaw didn’t play infield at all. He was OF and DH.

19th round… might just be throwing a local a solid. It is not unusual to see in the last couple of rounds. In the past I’ve seen sons of trainers or other members of the organization taken even though they have little future in professional baseball.
