I would probably support a new system to measure games. Have 4 quarters, 10 minutes a piece, and then a final period with a set ELAM ending. Say +25 of the highest team score. Probably too complex for casual fans. I like the Elam ending though, where teams fight to reach a target score so there isn't a clock management issue and theoretically it creates a little more excitement as teams get closer to the final mark.

I wouldn't be for changing what we have for the sake of change though. The NBA is the premiere league in the world. Timing the game isn't an issue now. This is something that should be discussed by alternate leagues to create something intriguing.

Silver just wants to have his TV timeouts cake and eat it too. They used to get the game into a 2 hour window most nights before they sold out to TV. Live with it or kill the game entirely, which is what 10 minute quarters would do for it to me.

Which shows he's a dinosaur who won't leave traditional TV. Streaming is the future and there are no set time constraints. I wouldn't mind a ticker with ads vs full on commercial breaks. They digitally add advertisements to the court now that change quarterly and they look like part of the hardwood. There's more ways to be innovative than condensing the games to fit a dying medium.

Yeah charge us more for less. Great idea. You’ll be the hostess cupcakes of sports.

Yes, as a HALF season ticket holder, I find this suggestion utterly revolting. The LENGTH of games is not a problem for the NBA.

For some reason, this is the first year that I have repeatedly had games on back to back or 2 out of 3 nights... I don't really want to deal with that. Shaving 10 minutes off the clock does nothing to change my outlook on that.

They're still not very good and it's one game but beating OKC without Kuminga or Draymond or TJD, on the 2nd game of a back to back, with SGA going for 52 was pretty cool.

if there's any good news at all for the Warriors it's that Payton 2 and Podz are both finally back and looking healthy and suddenly guard depth is a strength not a weakness.

Looney was outstanding today.

they said during the game that Dallas has beaten OKC 3 times this year, considering they only have 9 losses all year that's pretty surprising.

That would make an almost impossible game to watch into a totally impossible game to watch, unless you like watching more threes being hoisted up. They need to go back to the drawing board with that idea.

They could just do some reviews from another set of referees to speed things up, those reviews and challenges are just more timeouts. That would get us those 8 minutes back, while they are reviewing we are watching a commercial.
