The Heat look to be in the driver's seat, especially if they are looking beyond this season.

This is from Bobby Marks of ESPN.

Apparently Anthony Edwards had a child with a 4th different women and has been dealing with distractions this season. After breaking out last season I just assumed he’d be a front running candidate for MVP and it just hasn’t happened. Minnesota also butchered the Towns trade who is balling in NYC

One of the strangest injuries I've ever seen.

I get it. It's a message. Please send me the code book. I lost my copy.

You don't know waffles? Waffles means we're going go fill the holes in the middle with syrup.

In NBA terms that means we're going to get some flashy has-been who is sold to us as the answer to our size issue but it won't actually fix anything.

Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard plans to make his season debut Saturday versus the Atlanta Hawks at Intuit Dome, sources tell ESPN. Clippers upgraded Leonard to questionable tonight.
Upgraded to: “play a few games, look awesome, then shut down….hopefully to be back for the playoffs”

Haven’t most said his knee is completely toast?

I’d like that pay vs work schedule

The Suns and Warriors are among the teams who have checked in with the Heat on Jimmy Butler in the last 24 hours.Miami will work diligently to find a trade for Butler within the next week. With Butler now open to any team, be wary of a surprise suitor coming out of nowhere.

I don’t think he’d fit with the warriors. GS is desperate to make one last run.

Will Booker for Butler work somehow? They already have Tyler Herro and some good guards. Maybe they want Durant? I am open for anything as long as we get back some first round picks and get to keep Dunn and Oso.

If we move Beal or Booker that would unlock the SG spot, since Butler is more of a SF.

Teams aren’t willing to “sell the farm” in a potential Jimmy Butler trade. Only a handful of teams with real interest. Houston and Phoenix are the two teams in heavy pursuit with Rockets package centered around draft picks and matching salary and Phoenix with Bradley Beal.
Really seriously wondering if Houston would want a disgruntled star like Butler? I mean they have been supposedly looking at younger players like Butler. I really wonder if there is really any market for Butler with the return that Miami is looking for?

Yeah… Houston is still so young and has a lot of great draft capital stored up that I seriously question why they’d make this trade for a guy on the back end of his career, who might move the needle for them a little in the way of title contending experience. But it’s not like he’s a superstar that would definitely springboard them to a title.

Plus, reading how many times this guy has demanded to be traded to other teams, you wouldn't want your young guys learning that.

We are seeing what Jimmy’s value is when the Warriors wouldn’t trade Jonathon Kuminga for him. The Heat will probably ride this out and force Jimmy to make a decision regarding his player option.

I'm thinking if a trade does come, it may be when Jimmy is on an expiring contract, in his option year. Trouble is, most good teams trade for guys like that on reasonable deals. He may end up in a three team deal that sends him to a team that can absorb his salary in a dump move. I see Riley letting him sit out like Crowder did with us if it comes down to it. I think at best Miami lets him go to just get out from under his salary. Maybe they take back a couple pieces and junk they can waive/trade off. I just think Riley has upped the stakes in the media, and he seems more likely to not deal than take a bunch of trash in return.

Good question. I'm not sure about this incident but I have seen it happen before when a referee instructed a player to pick a spot and stay there.
But is there a rule on which player has to pick a spot? If there isn’t then there should be. One guy shouldn’t get an advantage by avoiding another.
