Not that surprising, I guess. But disappointing.

Gotta be a money thing, right? Can't imagine that UGA has a better QB situation than us right now, as well as Zion potentially being able to compete for starting time at S.

Ah well. On to the guys that want to be here.

No Kyle Scott - hopefully that does not mean anything.

I don’t know if other QBs do the same but Leavitt really makes an effort to support his teammates with NIL. Obviously he stands to gain but it is also a tremendous leadership trait of taking care those who take care of you. Makes those guys want to battle with him and for him.

I was very meh when Leavitt was brought on board but I am all in at this point. He has exceeded all my expectations by a long shot and I for one cannot wait to see where he and the team go from here.

Unfortunate that Omeire at the last minute decided not to close out his career in Tempe with Leavitt, but ASU's retention has certainly been impressive, as others have noted above.

Except that he is leaving since he knows his playing time would be limited next year with the 2 solid transfers coming in, plus Tyson coming back of course, and McClain taking on a bigger role, we should be in good shape at WR.

So we do this transfer portal thing again in April?

This is worse than free agency in other professional sports, which college sports seems to be.
There was a recommendation and proposal to eliminate the spring window, but it was voted down this fall. The whole thing needs to be refined and better managed, for sure.

It's harder to identify with a program when the players are constantly on the move.

I hope they change the transfer portal to once a year down the road.

I hate to generalize, but someone who got into West Point likely has some impressive traits. Then you add on his size and stats, I am pretty bullish on the guy...
West Point is extremely hard to get in and developing character is a huge focus of the Academy. I watched some Udoh and I'm excited to get him, very good signing.

The whole issue stems from the court cases that have upheld the rights of players to transfer as much as they see fit, within the limits of universities' allowance of such. Once college sports became full on "pay for play," trying to maintain regulations that keep players from fairly transferring essentially turned into restraint of trade.
