I think about that a lot when I see players thrive on other teams.
For example, how would Lamar Jackson have fared if his first pro coaches were Steve Wilks and Mike McCoy?
What if Arians had stuck around and Palmer hadn’t retired? Would Josh Rosen have had a better chance with a year to sit and learn from Carson instead of coming in for a washed up Sam Bradford?
What if the Cardinals were able to draft Mahomes? Maybe Arians sticks around a few more years and the Cards win a few Super Bowls.
Can’t go back. Just hope Monti and the scouting department do their homework and hit on a few picks.
But dang it would be nice if they could get Abdul Carter!
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we’d all have a Merry Christmas!
Exactly.

i can handle draft talk better when we're picking top 10 but anything after that gets aggravating because nobody knows who will be on the menu - or who trades up or down before us - when you're talking pick #16 it's more draftsurbation than analysis

Yes… but it’s definitely something you don’t want to do by yourself! LOL!

Agree not enough. Maybe 2 number ones
I wouldn't do that. Carter looks like a terrific player. But I thought Will Anderson was more complete. I think where we are at #16 we can get either a very good EDGE or DT. Those positions are very deep and we can get another in round 2. Maybe trading up our round 2 pick. Into early 2 or late round one.

How about Grant and Sawyer as our first two picks? That's doable IMO.

Maybe, some have Sawyer late first or early second.

Jaxson Dart is reportedly “ranked ahead” of Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward on a few NFL scouts’ boards. Some NFL scouts reportedly believe Dart could make a “Jayden Daniels type rise” by the time the draft rolls around.
Many NFL scouts reportedly believe Dart could end up being the “best” QB to come out of this year’s draft.Dart’s senior season was impressive, posting almost 4,300 passing yards, 500 rushing yards, and 32 total TD’s.
The Ole Miss QB is set to SHOCK scouts at the Senior Bowl

I've been touting him. I think he has a possibility of a good future in the NFL

I feel like Carter is a better rush prospect than Will was.

Quinn Ewers has reportedly “drawn considerable interest” from personnel within Ohio State, Alabama, and Ole Miss, if he were to transfer.Ewers is reportedly “heavily considering” returning to college football next season and forgoing the NFL Draft after losing to Ohio State.
And there is already reportedly a “$4 million” and “$6 million” deal on the table from an anonymous school in the Big Ten.Ewers is reportedly rumored to “be open” to a potential return to Ohio State, as that’s where his football career began.
Many NFL scouts also reportedly believe another year of college would “greatly benefit” Ewers. The Texas QB may not be entering the NFL Draft so soon

I think we are going to see a lot more of QBs who aren't quite first rounders, transfer to make a nice chunk of change since they probably won't get that kind of money the first year on their rookie contract.

Agree with this. Unless you are a 1st round option, why not?

So here is the tough part. With our roster(outside of QB), that is a doable deal. If you are willing to commit to Kyler for 2026, that is a doable deal. I think the roster can take it. I am not that committed to Kyler, but I wonder if Monti and JG might be.

The Cardinals need a top end pass rusher. Carter is a top end pass rush prospect.
