Lemme get this straight... the Cardinals have pick #16. Brugler has QB Cam Ward at #16, Kiper has S Malaki Starks, Scouts Inc. has WR Tatairoa McMillan, Miller has CB Jahdae Barron, and PFF has CB Benjamin Morrison.

Either most of them are expecting the Cardinals to trade out of the spot, or they have very different needs identified than the virtually unanimous consensus on this board!
it just where they rank the players, not a summary of mock drafts

its to give an idea of who might be available at 16

I think I'm in love! This might be my guy in this draft.

Edit: I mean, Daniel Jeremiah said he "flashes a violent hump move," which I assume mean the QB is humped on passing downs :D

I like Walter Nolan at 16, if he's available, and then get the best edge rusher in the second.

If Walter Nolen is at our pick & Monti doesn’t pick him i will cry in a corner

Lot's of Nolen love. Dvontel has been on the guy since early December.

I think I'm in love! This might be my guy in this draft.

Yeah he is starting to grow on me as well. Would love to get more push up the middle.

Similar type of player to Quinnen Williams of the Jets. I don't think Nolen rates as highly as a prospect but their play style matches.

I still believe based on their body of work, Grant is better. However, I’d be okay with Nolen.

Mike Green has reportedly been “rapidly climbing” up draft boards with his performance at the Senior Bowl.Green has reportedly been “getting comparisons” from scouts to Nolan Smith and Brian Burns.Green’s power has reportedly been “freakish” and his quickness of the snap has been scary. This past season, Green recorded 38 solo tackles, 17 sacks, and 3 FF’s while at Marshall.Green is EASILY one of the best pass rushers in this year’s draft

The comp is Khalil Mack. Maybe not quite as physical but he might test better. We will see. Like that Green is getting love that he deserves but sad it might push him right past 16.

Grant will be drafted based on what teams feel about his pass rush ceiling. His combine is going to be off the charts but I don't know where he answers the pass rush question.

For those leery about "risers", please understand it is about answering questions.

Mike Green is an easy example of this. The questions regarding him are his weight (size), his ability to hold up physically, level of competition, and his departure from Virginia. Why he rises after the Senior Bowl is that he weighed in at 250 and didn't look slower at all. He dumped a top 50 OT prospect from Oregon on his butt. He showed the burst, bend, and competitiveness that he showed on film.

Shemar Stewart questions were about production. He went to the Senior Bowl and got a strip sack, and looked unblockable at times. Check.

And it is easier for small school players to show out at these All Star games because it's their main opportunity to compete against higher level competition. You feel better about your eval for a OT from Alabama St when he shows he can stonewall pass rushers from D1 schools.

Be cautious of risers who faced marginal competition.

Shedeur Sanders would reportedly "prefer" to be drafted by the Giants, Raiders, or Titans, rather than the Browns. Many NFL sources reportedly believe Deion does not want Shedeur playing for the Browns, due to it being a "QB graveyard."

However, Andrew Berry (Browns GM) said recently that he "doesn't anticipate" Deion's preferences to be a problem in their selection process.

The Browns are reportedly "extremely impressed and intrigued" in Sanders as a prospect. There could be some DRAMA that goes down on draft night

I don’t understand.

I would think if one shined in practices where you have a collection of talented players why you wouldn’t see that as a higher section criteria than the competition factor.

my cynical view:

NFL people already had him reasonably high -- its taken the media time to catch up

And this is why teams shouldn't draft Sanders
