Saw a Mets fan at Starbucks this morning. Held the door for him and then started talking trash. Said, "I really shouldn't hold this door for you after yesterday. I was a Mets fan for one game, and you couldn't win just one last game?" He started laughing and said he has been getting strange looks all morning. He told me he has been a fan of the Mets for 47 years and it's always been tough because he grew up in the part of New York where you were expected to be a Yankees fan, but he never liked the Yankees. I told him we could definitely agree on disliking the Yankees and I wished him good luck. He thanked me and then he saw a guy wearing an old Detroit hat and went to chat him up about the playoffs.
Mets stayed hot, defeating the Brewers easily.
Brewers get tw9 home runs in the bottom of the eighth to win game two
They face off in the final game tomorrow evening
Mets have taken a 3-2 lead in the top of the ninth on a three run Alonso Homer
