LA ended up with a Mercury pick, and selected Cameron Brink.
Mercury should have taken her....great defensive player. 6'4"

She is the gal in the New Balance TV commercials with K. Leonard.

That's incorrect. We traded the #3 to Chicago, who drafted Kamila Cardoso.

I personally think that since we had the #3, it became expendable. Because we wouldn't have gotten Clark or Brink.

I agree. As soon as Paige declared that she was going back to school there was a decent drop off after Clark and Brink. The Mercury were smart to move the pick for Copper.

I somewhat agree as Rickea Jackson has the talent to potentially be the best player from this draft in the long run and she was there at 3. That being said we are in a better position at the moment with Copper. Unfortunately we don't own our pick again next year and there is a chance it ends up being #1 and we still lose out on Paige then as well..

Oof. I didn’t realize that we don’t have our first rounder next year.
