Will Johnson said on his conference call with the Arizona media that he golfed with Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. while Johnson trained out here this spring, and the two college rivals talked about what it would be like if Johnson joined Harrison Jr. and Co. in the desert. However, Johnson said he thought it would be at No. 16 and not

This COULD be our best DB pick since Patrick Peterson. It all depends on the knee obviously. With all due respect to Budda.

What technically is the issue about his knee. Worrried that it is a bone on bone issue in a few years??? Can some explain this with prognosis / treatment

No. Huge medical red flag. I get it but I’ve always felt if you can’t stay healthy in college your probably not gonna stay healthy in the NFL
Well, the Cards have done decent and great the last couple of drafts with injured CBs.

Matt Miller - ESPN:

Post-Draft Analysis

Johnson slipped in the draft due to medical concerns, but the Cardinals end that slide by taking my No. 7 overall prospect in the class. He is an elite zone coverage cornerback with the size, length and ball skills that are rarely found in Round 2. He returned both of his interceptions in 2024 for touchdowns. As long as he's healthy, the Cardinals grabbed a Day 1 starter who will immediately improve the defense alongside first-round defensive tackle Walter Nolen. -- Miller

Much better then expected - great patient job, GM
Now QB sanders is best available, I would take him, as trade bait
