This pick gives me similar vibes to the Dockett and Dansby picks. Superior talent that fell for god-knows-what reason. I have so much more confidence in management that they addressed defense. Continue with BPA, but need to pick some offense so future drafts wont have to be off balanced. Feels like a pretty good setup for Skattebo in the third….

a defensive tackle who got 5 sacks - transferred schools and then got 6.5 sacks

and will johnson - a gamble monti had to take - the talent is unquestionable - confidence undeniable - but the knock is the knee

monti knows far more about will's knee than i ever will - there has to be a minimum shelf life for monti to spend a second round

I'm super happy with the value, and really love the pick. As it got closer, he's who I wanted. But, I do feel like this team has a bad habit of continually picking the same position, which buries their chance to develop, and means we wasted picks.

I also feel bad for some of our other young corners who are now buried, but there's not a lot of room for hurt feelings in football.

Sometimes the value is just too good to pass up.

Is there any chance in a couple years Johnson or one of the other young CBs could move to Safety? Budda won't be around forever.

So he already has come back from it and played at an extremely high level. And by the sound of it has a good 7 years or so left before more possible issues. Im down with it.

I just feel the overall cb talent level was so low and the pass defense was so porous that this was a unique opportunity for an upgrade.

Love the player. Hated the Garrett Williams pick And now he's among our best players. I think will can do the same thing. Had not seen specifics on the knee injury? Great player if heal

Already healed the injury was 2 years ago lol... The NFL questions his long term longevity. If we get 5 good years IM happy.

The truth is despite all that we had invested into the CB position the last two years we were starting a middling journeyman at CB1 and an UDFA at CB2.

Melton didn't play well enough to unseat either guy, or he would have been starting.

SMB vs other teams #1 WR is bull****. It's target practice.

We had to make this pick.

Wilson’s injury was common and projectable as far as ACL’s go. Or you didn’t like the player?

Hole EEEEE Chit. This is an incredible 2nd round pick on a no BS 1st rnd talent. What a great pick. Our defense is gonna be absolutely the crucible for opposing teams. Those who know me, know I love defense above all. Give us a decent offense and this is a guaranteed playoff squad. Give me a good offense, and @Shane we will hang out again at the Super Bowl.

Yes, this pick was what the get your junk hard ads promise.

Potential game changer. But had a tendency to get picked on occasionally whenever I watched him. A little too up and down at times. But the talent is there...health and desire are the only question marks
