Absolutely true. He was also the play caller when Kliff had COVID.

Did you read those quotes? Because what he was doing for Drew was what a Qualirt Control coach does. He’s not building and installing game plans; he’s watching film on the next week’s opponent.

What he did with and for Kingsbury is irrelevant to this.

While he's not irreplaceable, it's still a loss. He's well regarded. Here's an excerpt from an article of 25 op future HC candidates under 40. Whipple was listed at 15:

15. Arizona Cardinals Passing Game Specialist Spencer Whipple

Whipple has established himself as a trusted offensive mind with the Arizona Cardinals, where he's been coaching since 2019. Initially brought in by Kliff Kingsbury, Whipple was retained on the new staff under Jonathan Gannon last year. He worked with All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins over three seasons (2020-22).

Now, he is part of the group guiding a young and talented receiver corps in Arizona, featuring Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, and Greg Dortch. His skills were recognized when he was selected as the wide receivers coach for the West team at the Shrine Bowl earlier this year.
He'll reunite with Christian Kirk in Jax. Happy for him.

I don’t believe this is true at all
Depends on the level of "responsible".

Overall responsible - absolutely agree.

But he could be getting the scheme and strategy passed down from Petzing and then coming up the the specific route combinations for Petzing to evaluate.

He could be, but there's zero evidence of that from anything that was posted. It's much more likely that the Passing Game Coordinator/WR Coach Drew Terrell is doing this.

I don't know why we're wishcasting or theorizing what his responsibilities were when it says it pretty plainly that he's a look-ahead guy.

He's so minor that I was literally thinking "I wonder what happened to Spencer Whipple?" less than a week ago then this story popped up. I didn't even realise he was still on the staff and I read practically everything about the team.

No players have talked about him, no coaches have talked about him, no media I have seen has covered what he's doing. The dude was a minor and insignificant part of the staff.

I'm sorry. Totally off topic, but Spencer TOTALLY could be Mr. Whipple's first name.
