Why the changes?
Former Cardinals OL coach Klayton Adams left to be the Cowboys OC.
Looks like former DL coach Derrick LeBlanc was let go but he's now the Jaguars assistant DL coach.
Looks like former assistant DL coach William Peagler was let go but doesn't seem to have landed anywhere yet.
Former LB coach Sam Siefkes left to be the Virginia Tech DC.
Looks like former OLB coach Rob Rodriguez was let go but doesn't seem to have landed anywhere yet.
Former pass game specialist Spencer Whipple left to be the Jaguars QB coach.

The Cardinals announced the hiring of five assistant coaches and the promotions of two others.

The new coaches are:

Offensive line: Justin Frye

Defensive line: Winston DeLattiboudere III

Linebackers: Cristian Garcia

Outside linebackers Matt Feeney

Defensive quality control: Alec Osborne

The team promoted Connor Senger to pass game specialist and Blaine Gautier to offensive quality control.

Frye spent the past three seasons (2022-24) as the offensive line coach at Ohio State.

DeLattiboudere coached the defensive line the past two years (2023-24) at his alma mater, the University of Minnesota, and added the title of assistant head coach in 2024.

Garcia arrives in Arizona after spending last season with Cowboys as an assistant defensive backs/quality control coach.

Feeney spent the past three seasons with the Raiders, including in 2024 as the team’s assistant defensive backs coach.

Osborne was the inside linebackers coach at his alma mater, the University of Louisiana-Monroe, last season. He previously worked as a defensive quality control coach at Baylor (2022-23) after coaching for three seasons (2019-21) as a defensive graduate assistant at LSU.

Senger was the Cardinals’ assistant quarterbacks coach in 2024 after working as an offensive quality control coach in 2023.

Gautier spent the past two seasons (2023-24) with the Cardinals as a participant in the team’s Bill Bidwill Coaching Fellowship.

Clearing something up I've seen around the internet: The #AZCardinals have six draft picks in 2025. Their own picks in Rounds 1-5, and then one in the seventh in the trade of Cam Thomas to the Chiefs (altho that pick was originally from the Jets, so earlier in round.)

I keep hearing that but official site recognizes that 7th round pick. Got a link?

After Kyler Murray, here are the three highest cap hits for the Arizona Cardinals in 2025:
OT Jonah Williams: $16 Million
S Jalen Thompson: $13.7 Million
DT Justin Jones: $11 Million
OT Jonah Williams: $16 Million - might not play again?
S Jalen Thompson: $13.7 Million - as good as gone?
DT Justin Jones: $11 Million - who?

Three good questions…

Monti got the salary cap back in order for sure.

Wouldn’t be surprised if McBride had a $30MM+ cap number this year with a mid FA class and no other real extension priorities.

Man I hope Jones or Nichols contribute as at least an average rotation player next season. Bears fans thought Jones was decent in his last season there.

I don't think we have given enough attention to the progression of Dante Stills.

In his 3rd and 4th years Zach Allen was considered a key part of the D line here, and has gone on and approved after leaving.

But as a 3rd round pick Allen didn't do much in his 1st two years. 2 total sacks, 6 total TFLs, 9 QB hits and 42 combines tackles in 650 snaps.

Stills, as a 6th round pick, has 8 sacks, 9 TFL's, 11 QB Hits and 89 combines tackles in 1067 snaps.

Even if you take out Allen's limited rookie year and use his 2nd and 3rd years he still only has 6 sacks, 10 TFL's and 83 combined tackles in 1190 snaps, although he would lead with 20 QB hits.

Still's is ahead of the Zach Allen curve at the moment and I think we should expect more of him in year 3 than just being a decent rotation piece.

Stills also came into the NFL at age 24. They’re on similar trajectories, but Allen was entering his free agent year at the same age Stills was having a solid sophomore season.

Stills also isn’t racing Chandler Jones, Markus Golden, and TJ Watt to the quarterback.

No, Stills is not getting extra attention from the opposing team.

I like Stills a lot. I had him down before last season as the standout defensive player.
