Guys, is anyone in any way feeling secure in our OL situation? Are we really just counting on the draft or hoping to re-sign an injured player to fix everything? Blech.
I'm hoping for Hernandez to be back to form.
If that can't happen then we need to address oline

We still need to sign him, if we want him back. We still may not have a RT or a healthy RT. LG is a patch, the weakest link. Brown is okay but needs to be the worst player on the line. Adams? Meh. Not going to help Kyler. The only two positions that are truly set are LT and C.

No, something has to happen at the OL.

Beachum in one of the best back-ups in the league and a long list of veterans still available and going to be available later at G. Short term the gaps can be met for the unit to be at an acceptable level.

I would, however, not be super comfortable going into the season like that. I expect a high draft pick and added veteran help still here.

I disagree that the gaps can be met short term. I do agree that we'll have to get vet help and likely a high draft pick. No way we can roll with this room into the season. And I do think Monti knows that. Fingers crossed!

I believe Urban confirmed Will had an ACL injury

12 months post surgery would be November

i dont think he is an option
He went down in the first game of October against the Niners..havent seen anything confirming the specific nature of the knee injury...but guys are coming back from knees in 6 to 8 months these days...and ACL would be better than an MCL for on OG.. but if his timeline is 12 months that could still have him missing only 3 or 4 games

I feel like it could use like another 2-3 design elements? No need to make them work together or anything.
That hat is available at your favorite gas station and Fry Food and Drug Store clearance sections.
These are definitely my father’s Cardinals.
But the ugly merch is quite in brand
the disappointing thing is that its so generic

it looks like the designer forgot a deadline and cranked it out at the last minute

"wait -- there are 32 NFL teams...?"
The dumb leaf pattern on the brim like you're some high-ranking military commander is just beyond ludicrous.

I don't know why the Cardinals haven't resigned Trystan Colon at a minimum.

Well. Depends on definition of closing the gap.

Closing the gap to meet the level of last year?

Closing the gap to making the OL elite?

Monti tried to sign Fries. I’m sure he is aware. The question is how he mitigates

My guess is he is good with he starting duo of Evan Brown and Isaiah Adams with Royce Newman as the backup until the draft. Under the idea of course that they will sign Hern once he can clear a physical.

There seems to be a few decent vet options on the market still so I am not too worried about waiting at this point. It's questionable if the Cardinals will be able to field a better o-line than last year but that probably has more to do with Jonah Williams than RG..

Yeah. Tons of replacement-level IOL available and will be after the draft. Adams and Brown are at worst below-average NFL starters right now; you'd love to have some competition at least come training camp (where they can't really compete because there's no hitting). Would love more flexibility, I suppose.

Agreed. Waiting at this point is fine. What wouldn't be fine is simply waiting for Hern and drafting some mid to late round guys and figuring the OL is complete. Hern is a risk when your other guard is Brown. Adams isn't ready yet--we need guys who can give Kyler time, and he ain't one of them. Bringing back Hern? OKay, only if he is 100 percent healthy and only if we draft some top help. If Hern isn't going to be healthy for a long while post draft, then no, that is a terrible plan that can explode our offense before training camp even starts.

I think it's fair to conclude that Monti thought Fries was the only player that could elevate the quality significantly before the draft. I assume he wanted Fries and Adams as the starters with Brown as a back-up
