Considering we don’t have a starting right guard and we are relying on an oft-injured right tackle I don’t know how one can make this stake t.

We have a starting right guard. He was drafted in the 3rd round last year, started four games, and took snaps at the position before it was turned over to him.

Isaiah Adams has a year in the system, and the weight room and if he were an issue, I think we would have heard something from the powers that be.

It’s his job to lose.

I certainly don't have the football acumen that many of you do, but I've been here in Arizona for 28 years (and a fan since I arrived) and to me this is probably the best overall draft since I've been here. Not to diminish drafts where we picked up guys like Larry F or Pat P, but this draft seemed deliberate, focused and part of an overall plan. None of these picks were truly headscratchers or reaches. Remember how many Keim picks were some cutesy stuff for some dude from a small school? It remains to be seen whether JG is a better coach than BA but this front office seems to be operating with confidence and purpose.

It seemed as if the guy Keim wanted was always picked right before our pick. He seemed to wait on his guy to fall to him.

It was like he gave hints to other GMs allowing them to jump us for the targeted player.

Also seemed he was left at the alter without a plan for the alternate bride more times than not.

stafford is 37 - peyton won mvp at 37 - kurt warner played here at age 37 in 2008 and we went to the superbowl - drew breeze brett favre i won't even mention brady

point is 37 isn't the end for superbowl mvp hof qbs - stafford has to feel the same way - and the rams could legit get a good return if they moved on him now from a team who thinks they can win now - same way the rams did

then the rams can tank and get even more draft picks lol
lol. Yeah he’s got 5 more years. Gimme a break. Even if he’s got two or three more years that would only overlap a guy drafted NEXT year by a year or two. Also known as a normal bridge period for a rookie QB. Stafford ain’t getting his feathers ruffled by that.

Like trying to sign a top guard? Something like that?

the manning kid isn't sitting you're nuts - stafford will still have plenty of gas in the tank when manning arrives - stafford won the rams a superbowl and will still be more than capable - don't tell me he's not going to feel some type of way if he thinks the rams are going all in on manning

Going to be tough for this (or any) draft to better the 2004 draft:

Fitzgerald
Dansby
Dockett
Antonio smith
Stepanovich (started 16 and 9 games for us in first two seasons)

He's not oft injured, but his knees are a concern. Both knees have had the same injury now. Hopefully, how ever they fixed the left works on the right the same. The saving grace here is that he was back in 2023 to not miss a game after getting injured in the playoffs. Fingers crossed this is behind him now.

Williams suffered an injury to his right knee in Week 5 of the 2022 season with the Cincinnati Bengals, but continued playing. However, in a playoff game later that season, his left knee was dislocated leading to an offseason of rehab work.

This is a weird post to me. Of course they don’t believe that. That’s exactly why they went out to get more draft capital - to be able to hopefully outbid other teams looking to take a QB. Remember, in many drafts there are multiple QBs that go high, so they don’t need to be in the #1 slot. Maybe they target the kid from Clemson if they can’t get to #1 for arch (if arch ends up being that guy).

And the take of arch manning is the tale of virtually every prized QB, be they prospect or starter. And it’s tenfold if you’re a manning. Asking for patience on a QB’s hype is a pursuit of the impossible.

I mean of course I agree that having a plan is certainly better than not having a plan.

But what will it take to move from, say, #24 to #2? A lot I assume. A king's ransom. Especially if they have a proverbial gun to their head.

Not saying they can't pull it off, and it's great to have a good young QB on a rookie contract, but it's a high risk/high reward strategy. It will be great for us if they get Bryce Young'ed!

It will be, but this draft really looks like it could be special.

I can see four potential starters. It's early but the draft looks great on paper, more promising than other Monti drafts.
