The first round of the 2025 Masters is in the books, and Augusta National Golf Club was a stout test on the opening day.

Scottie Scheffler, the defending champion, opened with a bogey-free 68, but two-time PGA Tour winner Nick Dunlap shot 90. There was a little bit of everything in the first round, but Augusta National was a brilliant test Thursday, and that should continue throughout the week.

Here's a look at six of the best groupings for the second round of the Masters:

9:47 a.m.: Adam Scott, Xander Schauffele, Viktor Hovland​


First-round scores: Hovland 1-under 71; Schauffele 1-over 73; Scott 5-over 77

9:58 a.m.: Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Aberg, Akshay Bhatia​


First-round scores: Aberg: 4-under 68, Bhatia 2-under 70, McIlroy even-par 72

10:15 a.m.: Hideki Matsuyama, Bryson DeChambeau, Shane Lowry​


First-round scores: DeChambeau 3-under 69; Lowry 1-under 71; Matsuyama 1-over 74

10:26 a.m.: Jon Rahm, Wyndham Clark, Tommy Fleetwood​

1:01 p.m.: Collin Morikawa, Joaquin Niemann, Min Woo Lee​


First-round scores: Lee 1-under 71; Morikawa even-par 72; Niemann even-par 72
