The 2025 NFL draft is slowly coming into the fold. The New York Jets have eight selections to fortify their roster with young talent.
Of those picks, New York has one in each of the first three rounds. Those are at No. 7, 42, and 73 overall.
Who could the Jets take? Let us take our first guesses now.
Here is Jets Wire's first mock ahead of the 2025 NFL draft using Pro Football Focus' mock draft simulator:
The Jets have a do-it-all guy in Garrett Wilson. He still needs help and McMillan would do Wilson wonders on the other side of him. On top of that, McMillan wouldn't be someone like Davante Adams who takes targets away from him. McMillan, who had 84 catches, 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns last season, would be a good complement.
The Jets have a need at right tackle and here is a fit... especially considering the team had a top-30 pre-draft visit with Ersery. Pro Football Focus graded Ersery a 77.5 mark for his efforts in 2024. In addition, he is experienced as a three-year starter.
The biggest turnover area for the Jets on their entire roster this offseason was at defensive tackle. While the Jets had plenty of holes in the middle of the defensive line this offseason beside Quinnen Williams, multiple players have already been added to the position during free agency. The likes of Derrick Nnadi, Jay Tufele, and Byron Cowart have signed in New York. Even so, a young prospect would be welcomed.
